Well, I was affected by a serious issue for a solo traveller and the front desk did everything in their power to help me, even lending me a bike to ride into town to go to the phone depot. The room was amazing and fitted out extremely nicely. Looking at the picture, I thought the place might be a little rough and ready, but DO NOT judge a book by it's cover

Property information

Captain Jak’s is located in Placencia Village, Belize which has become a thriving tourism center as a quaint seaside resort with a local Belizean flair. Captain Jak’s is located on the water lagoon side only a couple of minutes walking distant to beautiful beaches on the Caribbean Sea. Its grounds consist of tropical gardens, three one story cabanas, 1 two-story 2 bedroom cottages, 2 apartments and a private villa. There is a private dock with lagoon access for boat enthusiasts or for just relaxing in a comfortable hammock. There is an observation deck 34 feet in the air, great for viewing the sun rising over the sea with a morning cup of coffee or viewing the sun setting behind the Maya mountains with an evening cocktail. Finally, cook your catch of the day on the outdoor grill.

We are located in the village and within walking distance to everything including grocery, open air fruit and vegetable stands, Caribbean Sea, restaurants, night life and a host of beautiful Local Belizeans that embrace the tourist that come to visit.
