Company information

Sunrise Property Management was established in 2016 by Simon Backley and Amanda Syme. Simon has lived in Belize since 2000 and has worked in the Belize tourism sector for in Destination Management, Yacht Charter Management, Property Management and tourism support services. Amanda has lived in Belize since 1981 and has over 30 years of experience in the Real Estate sector along with experience at hotels and other tourism related businesses. As of mid 2020 Sunrise Property has six properties under management comprising of 19 individual rental units/villas with a capacity of almost 100 guests. We pride ourselves on providing our guests with a vacation to remember at exceptional properties for exceptional value.

Property information

Solaria Villas are located 3.2 miles from town and are only a 3.8 mile drive from Secret Beach. The road is fully paved except for the last half mile where it consists of hard pack gravel. We frequently travel the road and it usually takes us about 15 minutes to drive from the bridge up to the villas by golf cart. Solaria Villas consists of three 5000 square foot villas, each having its own individual interior layout and design. There is a centrally located pool and each villa is only steps from the beach. There is a live-in caretaker to assist while you’re in residence and our office is always available to help with recommendations for restaurants or adventures. When you book with us we will meet you at the San Pedro airport and guide you to your complimentary taxi(s) (maximum 6 persons per taxi, maximum two taxis). Even if you’ve rented a golf cart we generally recommend that you take a taxi to the villa so you’ll have enough room for your luggage and can make a stop at a grocery store on the way to pick up some essentials. If you’ve rented a golf cart(s) we’ll arrange to have them delivered to the villa for you.

Neighbourhood information

There is a restaurant and bar right next door at Las Terrazas on the south side of the property and Cococabana is located on the north side of the property, there are several others within a short distance. By cart you have numerous other options between north of the bridge, places like Portofino, Rojo Lounge, Truck Stop, Stella's Smile, Paco's Tiki Bar, Marbucks, Legends, Rain, Aji Tapa Lounge, Island Tavern, Salty Beach Bar, Pirates Treasure, Dive Bar and more. All of the places listed are within a 15-minute golf cart ride of Solaria Villas. In town there's just too many to list but we'd be happy to let you know our favorites. There are four grocery stores north of the bridge, Mata Grande, they have a provisioning and delivery service available. There is a small grocery at Captain Morgan's and another at Grand Caribe, they're a bit pricey. There's a large grocery store just over the bridge and they will deliver orders over a set amount. South of the bridge there are grocery stores on every block, or so it seems.
