Stayed for 6 nights total: 2 in San Ignacio, 1 at Rainforest Inn on Butterfly Highway, and 3 at the beach in Hopkins. The Rainforest was awesome and we did some cave exploring on tours. My husband and I enjoyed the cave tube float and our friends loved the ATM cave. Of course there are a number of Mayan ruins to explore without having to cross into Guatemala. Belize is a small country but from the Cays to Belmopan city and beach areas the culture is varied. The Garifuna culture around Hopkins is quite interesting and different from San Ignacio, which is more Mayan.

The lodge is in the perfect place to do a variety of jungle adventure tours and activities, especially all the caves and sinkholes in the area, and to explore the Mayan ruins, and to get a real feel for the culture of Belize.

I specifically went to see the Thirsty Jagwar (yummy fruit wines) booth at the Day & Night Market at Mae Gordon Park in Belmopan. It was a rainy day and the grounds were a bit wet and muddy, but there was a good variety of friendly vendors, so it was fun to shop around. They also had a good DJ and live music so it was entertaining as well. There was also a good variety of food vendors to choose from. The highlight of my visit was my stay at the Kiki Witz Resort. It was only 5 minutes drive outside Belmopan. Easy to find right off the highway just past the ArtBox store, but GPS was off. I had the cutest little Glamping Cabin in the woods! It's centrally located so you can get anywhere in the country. However, they need a better road system. You need to have a four wheel drive vehicle to be able to move around the country. For that reason it takes longer to get somewhere than it should.ScottUnited States

The rooms were large and clean with big beds, great showers, coaches, and outdoor space including hammocks. Every room seemed to look out onto something wonderful from mountains to rivers to trees. The sound of water over rocks permeates the reserve and there are trails through orange groves and across hanging bridges. Bikes and kayaks are also available as are scening viewing decks including one 300 feet up that looks over the whole property.

The family who runs it, is so friendly and nice! Best pancakes allover Belize and best spot to see red-eyed tree frog! The property has its own jungle walk, a yoga room, a garden with flowers and hummingbirds, and a pond… We stayed in a room with toilets outside and with a shared kitchen and dining. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. For the price one of the best places in Belize! You’re in the jungle, don’t forget bug spray ;)

It's a great place for bird watching! We stayed at a Creekside Cottage which was beautiful, especially the patio and the outdoor bathbub are great. A great plus is that you are provided with free drinking water. Special thanks to the waiting staff at Don Tonito's, they were so nice and we felt very welcome there!

We loved the pool, playing volleyball, and the playground area. The WiFi was the fastest connection we found in Belize. Close proximity to tubing and zipline adventures. Highly recommend.
