It was really good, missed the toast, happy with the coffee and was well maintained.
This harbour-view Nanaimo hotel, located on Vancouver Island, is about 5.5 kilometers from the Departure Bay Ferry Terminal and 10 kilometers from the Duke Point Ferry Terminal.

They let us drop our bags off earlier in the day and put them in storage which was very helpful and then delivered them to the room in the evening.
This downtown Nanaimo hotel overlooks the Inner Harbour and is across the street from the Seaplane Terminal. The hotel offers free WiFi and free parking.

Hayden, the gentleman who checked us in, was absolutely exceptional. I don't think we've ever had better customer service anyway. I had completely messed up our reservation (it was our anniversary, we go every year, and stayed there the night we got married). Not only was Hayden kind and understanding about me messing up the reservation, he gave us an upgrade. When I visit Nanaimo for business or leisure, I'll never stay anywhere else. 5 stars put of 5. Thank you, Hayden.

Had a beautiful upscale room that we had booked in advance, which fully lived up to our expectations. Staff were very courteous, helpful and showed real pride in their hotel.

Nicely finished, very clean and fresh. Seems to have recently been refinished and was very tastefully done. Friendly staff, but very limited. If you’re looking for a great place to sleep and get a meal or a drink at a very reasonable rate, I’d definitely recommended it, but I would not suggest staying here if you looking for concierge services or other amenities. It was exactly what I was looking for, would have liked to have stayed longer and spent time at the pub!
Located in Vancouver’s Harbour City, The Spot offers free WiFi and is within walking distance to a coin-operated launderette. This property is a 1.5 km drive from Nanaimo city centre.

I liked the room.have been there a few times but

Nanaimo is a cool little city. Depending on the goal of your trip renting a vehicle is recommended, since the city is spread out. As well there is much to see in surrounding areas. With the ocean, mountains and forest this community is surrounded by nature and beauty!

We had a great dinner at Firehouse Grill and fantastic coffee at Regards Coffee and the walk along the waterfront was nice but nothing super special, in all honesty it's kind of a dreary, quiet place that isn't very pretty. Maybe it has way more to offer than what meets the eye but I truly wouldn't care to stay there for more than a night passing through.

There was a couple of RATS outside by the pool but they stayed away from people. The hot tub wasn’t working either. But the pool was GLORIOUS and the room was clean to perfection. It was a nice place to sleep in!

I didn't see much of Nanaimo, just Petraglyph Park, before heading to Victoria. This side of Nanaimo was quiet, and I left very early. One great thing about South Nanaimo is its proximity to the Duke Point Ferry - a short drive. Also, the lack of nightlife meant my visit was quiet.
I would recommend visiting Petraglyph Park. It's not easy to find it, you have to be driving on the northbound side, but it's beautiful. I've enjoyed other aspects of Nanaimo in the past, especially the Woodgrove area, and I've found people there very friendly.

The ocean was the best part as there are many places to visit and the views are awesome. People were very friendly everywhere I went. The city is kept quite clean. Parks are nicely attended. Overall visit was very pleasant. Easy to get around having a vehicle as everything is very spread out. Piper's Cove and the harbor downtown were favorite.
Exactly what we were looking for. A nice, clean, comfortable room located near downtown and the harbor for a reasonable price with parking. A few semi-related tips. Neck Point Park is about 15-20 mins away with incredible views of the ocean and potential to spot marine life (we just missed a pod of orcas). Also the Save on Food in the Nanaimo suburb was the best grocery store we visited in the island/Vancouver/Calgary if you are cooking your own meals.
Had such an amazing experience, the room where we were at was perfect spot, outstanding view to the lake, it is a great place to be with your family and also dog if you have.
The staff were also really friendly!
The breakfast was covid style, but lots of options to choose from, no complaints.
For sure we will stay on the same hotel when going back to Nanaimo.
The view and the beds were awesome . The beds were exactly what I like to sleep on , firm but just enough pillow to put you right to sleep . The view of the Nanaimo Harbor was great . The attached View Restaurant was some of the best food I have had in my travels . Kudos to the chef !
The room has a kitchenet. It was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. The location was far from Nanaimo downtown (25 mins drive approx) but walmart, Save On Foods etc. were on a 5 mins drive and Real Canadian Store was just across the street.
Overall, a nice place to stay.
The location is not great, too close to highway 1, fortunately there are not many cars on the road, otherwise it is not convenient to drive in and out of the hotel. Also, there was no breakfast, the day we went was Monday and many restaurants were not open.
The house was new with a huge terrace and an amazing ocean view. The hosts Shawn and Lili tried their best to make us feel welcomed and Indeed we felt like home.Thank you Shawn and Lili.If anytime soon in Nanaimo you are the first choice.
One of the best apartments we ever stayed at. Large, nice furnishings, all you need is there. It's very close to the waterfront, perfect for disabled people, there is an elevator opening straight into the living room.
The staff were super friendly (the lady at breakfast was especially lovely) - best cheaper hotel we stayed in over 3 weeks having stayed in everything from Fairmont's etc over 3 weeks.
The room was nice! It was an older hotel so exactly what was expected. Great location, super friendly staff. Close to the waterfront and local restaurants and pubs.
The room was immaculately clean, the hotel was SUPER easy to find, the bed was comfortable, and there was great food nearby. This was our best stay on this trip!
Great location. We had a view of the harbour from o he room. Parking is not located in the hotel but is nearly with an adjoining door. Comfy beds and quiet room.
