Nicely finished, very clean and fresh. Seems to have recently been refinished and was very tastefully done. Friendly staff, but very limited. If you’re looking for a great place to sleep and get a meal or a drink at a very reasonable rate, I’d definitely recommended it, but I would not suggest staying here if you looking for concierge services or other amenities. It was exactly what I was looking for, would have liked to have stayed longer and spent time at the pub!

The muffins at breakfast we're amazing. Room was clean, quiet and the ocean being so close was great. They made late check in super easy, and check out also easy.

Hayden, the gentleman who checked us in, was absolutely exceptional. I don't think we've ever had better customer service anyway. I had completely messed up our reservation (it was our anniversary, we go every year, and stayed there the night we got married). Not only was Hayden kind and understanding about me messing up the reservation, he gave us an upgrade. When I visit Nanaimo for business or leisure, I'll never stay anywhere else. 5 stars put of 5.
