Down-to-Earth City Bordering Toronto
Mississauga is the site of Toronto Pearson Airport, so many visitors to the Ontario capital pass through without even realising. Once a Toronto suburb on the shores of Lake Ontario, Sauga (as it’s affectionately called) is now a city in its own right, though it’s not immediately obvious where one ends and the other begins.
Both have in common the broad horizon of nothing but water on one side and a skyscraper-dominated skyline on the other. The most iconic structures are the curvy Absolute World towers, said to resemble Marilyn Monroe. Over the road is one of Canada’s largest shopping centres: Square One.
More stores are in Sherway Gardens Mall near Toronto Golf Club, just one of many within Mississauga. There is also a staggering number of parks, including some lining the Credit River which enters the lake by Port Credit historic village, home to lots of cafés, restaurants and bars. Salmon migrate up the river, so fishing is popular.
The fact that this was once agricultural land inspired the design of the civic centre, overlooking the Living Arts Centre and the Art Gallery of Mississauga across Celebration Square.
Booking.com’s Mississauga accommodation options include hotels by the convention centre, apartment complexes with hot tubs, and cheap motel deals near the Hershey Centre.

Like most Canadian cities and towns Mississauga is clean and not overcrowded and noisy. Traffic was quite tolerable and the restaurants we ate in offered terrific, delicious food. My personal favorite was a Korean spot that had great fried chicken , etc.

The facility was clean and presentable, the staff was courteous and friendly as well but unfortunately our room wasn’t well prepared.
We had 6 guests stay 2 of the bed were put together with the last one (pull out bed) had no sheets, blankets pillow etc ready. We understand it’s not ideal to have such amenities laying around but not to have them in the room at all and then travel back to the concierge was inconvenient. Regularly something of this nature isn’t a matter to review about but they didn’t even have all the amenities needed on hand. So we were short blankets and pillows for 2 guests.
Best Western Hotels are usually Top notch service providers but this location did not reach that level.

Was not happy when the kitchen tap leaked down the counter...
Was not happy when the kitchen tap leaked down the counter to the floor causing a big puddle and guy try to fix it by banging on it when it clearly needed a whole new faucet. I washed dishes in bathroom sink before going to new room that had a disgusting tub that we had to put a towel in to step in to shower. When I asked to check out late was told I had to pay $60 after already being ripped off for this horrible place. I would not recommend not to mention the bugs.

This area of Toronto to me is only going to YYZ.
This area of Toronto to me is only going to YYZ. The great thing about it is the Up Express train, that is direct from Pearson to DT Toronto stopping lastly at Union Station. More stops and locations are being added in near future.
Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff were very friendly. I like that the breakfast is buffet, the restaurant was really nice and clean. I noticed that the staff were all friendly and always smiling, they greet you all the time. It is also nice to come back to a clean and organized room with clean towels everyday. The hotel is a bit far from Downtown Toronto but I knew that when I booked it and the friendly staff plus the overall cleanliness of the hotel made our stay really enjoyable.
Disclaimer: Be aware that this hotel is not necessarily ideal if you want to visit Toronto as it is really afar.
It is Motel rather than a hotel and at a first glance we were shocked. However, the inside did way better! A nice, rather spacious room with vinyl instead of carpet (which is awesome!) and a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was limited but I cannot complain at all as the pancakes and coffee were delicious anyhow. Can recommend it for a short stay!
The hotel is literally right across International Terminal 3 at Toronto Pearson. We booked this as we had early morning International Flight so it really served our purpose. The room was bright, clean and large enough to accommodate multiple luggage. The staff is very friendly and the assistance by the bell captain was excellent as he was very polite and even set our luggage with Airport trolley so we could literally just pushed them across to the terminal after checking out.
1st someone stolen 2 of my rings ,no one sorted even they don't say sorry or anything very rood.
2nd in 6 days never hover or clean dust. Only chenge bathroom towel.
3rd very cold room asking for duvet 3 day in roll they bring me only last day 🙈🙈🙈
4.to far from Toronto. Better to pay extra money for close to town.
Is 10 dollars take taxi to the station. Then another 13 Dollar per person for day for train.
Never ever worse hotel I found1👎
Due to Air Transat changing flight times it meant we were stuck in Toronto for 18hrs till our flight to Manchester. We arrived at the hotel after a 24dollar cab fare (rip off), at around 0730hrs the receptionist let have breakfast as we were leaving at 2100hrs that day, and did her best to find us a room, we were very tired, we got into a room 405 at around 1000hrs, very grateful.
Alt is a German run hotel. It is very well designed and operated. This location cannot be beaten for early takeoffs from Toronto's Pearson airport. It's a very short walk to the airport train/shuttle. While they do not have a complimentary breakfast, they have a good grab and go shop available 24/7 and an evening cocktail lounge which is fun fur meeting fellow travelors.
My son wanted a view on a top floor so the airport was clearly visible and the staff happily obliged. Although at the far end of YYZ's runway 05, it's not the best view, but he still enjoyed it. The room was surprisingly quiet. This is a budget-friendly hotel but a reasonable drive outside of Toronto. It was worth it to save some money.
Nothing... absolutely nothing about how the Hampton and its staff including the hotel airport shuttle driver We were 'bumped' to a different hotel..Fairfield Marriott. At no time was this communicated to us prior to arrival at Toronto Airport.
The Fairfield upgraded to. Fairfield King Suite which was a nice touch. The room was fine.
I had a 14-hour layover in Toronto, so booking was last minute! Best Western Plus, more than happy to accommodate! Free shuttle to airport was great, on-site restaurant/bar offered good food/drinks & the bartender & reception staff were beyond nice! If I have another long layover in the future, I will certainly rebook.
Excellent service, pertectly clean, cozy, and comfortable rooms. It was the best hotel we have recently stayed in Toronto area. The great breakfast, helpful staff, free shuttle to the airport, and 24 hour free tea, coffee and drinking water made our stay memorable!
ALL the staff here are super helpful and friendly
rooms are a good size, clean and well equipped.
slept well here, comfy bed 👍
we used it to save money on downtown Toronto hotels and then just zipped in and out of the city on the UP train
I booked the room for a family moving to Canada. They are not fluent in English but the staff did a fantastic job of helping them, shuffling them from and to the airport and making them feel welcome!!! thank you
In the craziness of a snow storm in Toronto and Vancouver, delays after delays and cancellations this hotel was a great choice. it was busy but they had all check in counters available.
Comfortable and clean room, closer to the Toronto Airport. Also, the hotel has laundry and fitness centre, required for a family. Great value for the money.
We love the pool and water slide. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. There are some nice restaurants nearby. And just a short drive to Toronto!
