Was in middle of snow storm so unable to visit anything.
Went to Salisbury house for lunch but staff were very indifferent to customers and rude if distracted by requests.
Food was mediocre didn’t have the items on menu
Roads for a city with snow storm were clear and able to navigate from one end to the other easily.
I would return during summer to checkout more attractions

Ahhh the charms of Winnipeg.
Ahhh the charms of Winnipeg. From the frigid winters to the eccentric locals, Winnipeg is always an interesting adventure. Plenty of shopping, unique restaurants and things to do but public transit can be pretty sus at the best of times. Make sure your immunizations are up to date and enjoy your stay in Winnipeg

Winters can be brutal but the history and old buildings are amazing. The city started as the melting pot of immigration surrounded by treaty land. If driving keep your eyes on signs, they are everywhere. Street are named so it's easy to get lost but with google today, why not? They have a good bus system if a bit slow, no trains. Love the parks, especially the Assiniboine and the Kildonan is a close second. Great spaces for dog play and walks at Maple Grove. Hot summers with plenty of humidity which means a great time to head to the big Lake Winnipeg.

I enjoy visiting Winnipeg, lots to see and do.
I enjoy visiting Winnipeg, lots to see and do. Most sightseeing requires a vehicle as you can spend 30 min driving from place to place. Downtown is a good museum and The Forks. Overall for shopping and food, there is many choices. Avoid the both end ?Empress Walmart, many sketchy people and is usually very busy.

The weather definitely determines what you can or cannot do.
The weather definitely determines what you can or cannot do. We had a good time - short and sweet since it was just a stop over.
Oh - uber eats was terrible. It was 30 mins longer than they said and it was cold when it arrived. I won't do that again.

I've only been to Winnipeg for work trips so far, but my wife grew up going there for fun with her family and we both really like this city! There are good parts and bad parts of the city just like anywhere else, and if you don't like cold weather obviously don't go in the winter, but during the spring, summer and fall this city is packed with live music, local breweries, great restaurants, a thriving music and art scene, many world-class museums like the Human Rights Museum and the Aviation Museum, festivals and events, and tourist attractions/historical sites. St. Boniface in general, and The Forks right across the river on the downtown side, are packed full of things to do for the whole family. History buffs, outdoorsmen, lovers of good food and drink, etc. will all love what this area has to offer.
Winnipeg is also easy to get around in from my personal experience. Traffic can back up, for sure, but it's generally pretty smooth sailing while driving. And the airport is easy to navigate, not big enough to be a problem or for you to get lost in.
Everything about this hotel was amazing! The location was convenient, they had parking that could accommodate vehicles with trailers, and there was a gas station adjacent to the property.
The rooms were stunning and exceptionally clean, with comfortable beds and crisp linens. The bathroom was large and well appointed with quality toiletries.
The breakfast was better than most hotels, featuring a variety of hot and cold items.
Overall, a fantastic stay. Highly recommend to anyone travelling through the Winnipeg area!
This hotel has 25 floors and the elevators were very quick, the view from our room was great! This hotel is well-situated downtown so we could do our activities and come back for a rest and freshen up between activities. The breakfast served is good value for money. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. In addition, it is right next to the Canada Life Center and despite the proximity, there were events on both nights we stayed here and we were not disturbed by the crowd or the noise at all.
The staff was very friendly and flexible. The breakfast was good - by order from the menu rather than a buffet. The door to the hotel was always locked and only could be opened by hotel staff (always available at the desk) - very useful since the hotel is in a slightly dicey area of the city so this made me feel more secure. The hotel is just a couple of blocks from the University of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and just a block from Portage Avenue, so an excellent location.
It was a really great hotel and a reasonable price. Also the fact that I didn't have to pay in advance was great because I don't always use credit cards and prefer to pay upfront on check-in. The staff were friendly and courteous. The breakfast at the restaurant was exceptional. The breakfast items were very tasty and the customer service was great! The rooms were very clean and modern. This will be my hotel of choice when I visit Winnipeg again. I will tell others to stay here!!
This hotel was great, there’s tones of parking and location was great. It’s 5mins from the perimeter, 10 mins from Downtown and 20 mins from the airport. if your into fishing there’s plenty of parking for boats and trailers. The staff are so friendly at this hotel. Its a family run operation, and trust me, we felt like family staying there.
I really appreciate the dedicated and helpful staff. They allowed us to store our bags when we decided to drive to downtown winnipeg but didn't have room in the car to safely store all of the luggage and they were able to provide secure storage for 4+ hours and it was a tremendous help along our roadtrip. Thanks for everything.
Location was excellent! With a car you were within 15 - 20 minutes to easily head downtown and Forks, to the airport, football stadium, parks, and connect with the highways outside the city to head to the provincial parks. It was a central location. Parking was free. Staff was friendly and very hard working.
Breakfast was very complete. Location was ok for us, we wanted something more south. It is about 15 min by taxi to downtown. The hotel is behind a supermarket that has a pharmacy so is really convienent. Crossing the street was another major grocery store. And around the corner a dollar store.
The hotel room was roomy and cozy, it was perferct for my stay in Winnipeg.
The staff was very helpful and kind
There were few homeless people outside their facilities, but there is nothing the hotel staff can do about it, it is rather a general problem in downtown Winnipeg
Nice hotel! Very clean and for Winnipeg was a reasonable price. The restaurant is only open for breakfast which we didn't do, but did have two very nice dinners in the lounge! Across the street is a big Shopper's Drug Mart, Boston Pizza and The Keg.
Hotel was in a great location, rooms were clean and comfortable. We didn’t stay for the continental breakfast because we were running in the Manitoba marathon but we appreciated the hotel offering an earlier light breakfast for the runners.
The location is excellent for visiting the Canadian Museum of Human Rights and other downtown sights. The pre-ordered hot breakfast was a welcome change from the grab-and-go or bagged breakfasts we received at other hotels on our trip.
Great location in downtown Winnipeg. Apartment was very spacious, with a big living and dining room. Free parking was a big bonus as we rented a car. Kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, plus even cooking oil.
For the price, this was one of the best accommodations that I have had. Nice facility, remodeled and upgraded. Close to the airport and downtown. Bonus is a miniature water park inside the hotel
It was central downtown Winnipeg and very easy to access all the places we wanted to visit. It also has a lot of great restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was clean and comfortable.
good location, very close to Canada life centre. parking next to the hotel. the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast included. staff was very friendly.
