Location quiet, excellent swimming facilities. Villa comfortable, had all kitchen facilities. Host gave plenty of local information on bus timetable, supermarkets, beaches etc. Plenty of restaurants and island activities to chose from.

Boasting a lagoon style swimming pool set amongst tropical gardens, Arcadia Retreat Rarotonga is located 200 metres from Arorangi's white sandy beach. BBQ facilities are available. Each individually styled vacation home has a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, stove top, toaster, kettle, refrigerator and bottles of water. The private bathrooms come with free toiletries and there are seating areas in each with a flat-screen TV. KIA ORANA and welcome to just a few of the joys of staying at Arcadia Retreat. Our small piece of paradise embodies the definition of Arcadia "an unspoiled wilderness of simple, quiet pleasure". We invite you to join us on the picturesque sunset side of Rarotonga in one of our 3 stylishly appointed holiday homes set in large tropical gardens with a spectacular shared pool and breathtaking Arorangi beach just minutes away. Starter pack of locally sourced breakfast supplies is provided on arrival. Mid stay house keeping service. Beautiful saltwater swimming pool Rental cars, scooters, bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards all available to hire nearby. Vodafone wi-fi hotspot on site. Villa owners are available on site for any help or recommendations.

Arcadia retreat is set back from the main road ensuring quietness and privacy, but only a short stroll to the beach. It is in a semi-rural location with some residential homes close by. Enjoy the local surrounds with early walks to the beach or onto the back-road and the jungle interior. On your morning walks you may be greeted by the local children walking to school or the Mamas and Papas wishing to a good morning as they go about their daily activities. The greeting may be a hearty KIA ORANA (trans: May you live long) or a pleasant POPONGI MANEA (trans: Good Morning) and in your reply, you can simply repeat the same words back. The local women will adorn themselves with brightly coloured flowers behind their ear or in their hair and they take great delight if you wish to do the same. Men will wear a small flower bud (normally that of the Tipani tree - aka Frangipani) You will see the ubiquitous local hens and roosters that abound on this island. Be amazed as a mother hen and a dozen day old chicks walking the road in front of you, where the local traffic will slow or stop completely, to ensure the chicks get to cross the road
