Our trip was amazing, however there was one theme that was a huge put off. Some of the places we went had absolutely horrible attitudes towards us. Rude with no greetings and sour faces, it is not nice to be treated like that. This was NOT at every place we went but it was enough times to stand out. Apart from that....it was a fun filled trip

Rarotonga is a great place to visit.
Rarotonga is a great place to visit. Its layed back and the weather is very nice. The beaches are great. We ate at Supper Browne in Tupapa at their cafe which was reasonably cheap steak meal. The local food on the early morning on Sunday was fantastic. Going to the movies could be good for young couples to spend some quality time without being too occupied with big expensive activities.

Enjoyed staying on the island of Rarotonga.
Enjoyed staying on the island of Rarotonga. Also did a day trip to Aitutaki. Both places were great for snorkelling, need water shoes to protect your feet from the coral. Night markets offered delicious food. We used the local bus to get around the island.

There is something special about this place.
There is something special about this place. From the moment we stepped off the plane, we felt so relaxed and welcomed. We stayed at Club Raro Resort (Adults Only) and I can only speak highly about this accommodation. They have amazing staff and the restaurant offers the BEST ribs on the island! Rarotonga is so relaxed and peaceful, all the locals and business's are really friendly, helpful and welcoming. You can use your New Zealand dollars, so no need for exchanging money before your trip. Easy to get around the island via rental car, scooter, bike or bus. Koka Lagoon Cruises were excellent! Four hours of fun, beautiful fish to see, snorkeling, yummy lunch and an entertaining show on an island. Happy Hour at The Edgewater Resort were a great price and so good. I've been here twice now and Raro will continue to be my annual holiday from now on.

It was a short walk to dairies, cafes, Muri Night Market and the Muri Beach Club pool. The villa was spacious, cool and had modern furniture and lovely deck with outdoor furniture. Good kitchen facilities so we could make our own meals if we wanted to. The large bed was very comfortable. Access to Muri Beach Club facilities and beach was a bonus. The owner was very responsive in helping us with transport from the airport. We would definitely stay again.

There was also a pool if you preferred to swim somewhere away from the sea. The resort is only a short walk from lots of amenities such as restaurants, supermarkets, car hire and the museum. Also we were able to attend the Muri night markets a few times which was a fun alternative to restaurant food. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and obliging at short notice. They had everything we needed, restaurant, bar, seating in the bar lounge right next to the pool. The beach was soo close even though we didn't get the beachside room. Food was great! I love their seafood chowder and eggs bene. The room was great! It had everything we needed including a heat pump and a fan that faces the bed from the wall. It's peaceful and quiet although the place was booked out. I will come back here everytime I visit the cook islands 100% recommend. Thank you

They have kayaks and snorkeling gear that you can borrow. It is within walking distance of markets and restaurants, and the bus stop is nearby too. The apartments have everything you need; a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, fans, or air conditioning too. Desiree is wonderful, and she will leave you bananas and bread your first night too. Just Paradise!

Especially loved our visits from the family dogs, made our trip even more memorable. Also beautiful beach access that is accessible across the street to the ocean front is simply gorgeous. There is also a convenience store nearby. So peaceful and the pool is perfect for late night cool downs. It was the perfect end to our holiday in Rarotonga!

The owners were amazing and nothing was too much for them to make sure we had a great holiday. They arranged in house massage, and there was an endless supply of fruit for us to eat. They were happy to drive us to collect our car after the cross island walk. I honestly cannot recommend this property enough- 5 star.
