The room was beautiful - very big, the balcony was lovely to sit on of an evening and the views were amazing throughout the day. The bed was huge and so comfortable and the bathroom was great too. It was very well situated to explore this area and was within walking distance of the town with its restaurants and shops. We had a meal in the hotel too which was really nice - the menu wasn't extensive but there was enough choice for us to find something we all liked. We loved our stay here!

A very jolly town, clearly doing quite well.
A very jolly town, clearly doing quite well. All the locals we spoke to were friendly and helpful, particularly the tourist Info in centre of town.
We rented a car for a couple of days from Morris at Sur Car Rental, hilarious and good value.
Mi gusto Puerto Varas!

Went mid October and weather can be a factor. Wanted to get a tour of volcano and park rangers closed the road due to deep snow. Rest of town was nice to walk and stroll around. People were very friendly and helpful.

Very friendly town, with great shopping and very good restaurants.
The Vinoteca at the lake offers great food, combined with an amazing variety of wines, sold at the same price in-store as in the restaurant.

Very beautiful city and surroundings.
Very beautiful city and surroundings. There are a lot of places and natural wonders to visit, any tourist would be impressed. Puerto Varas has a rich history which would amaze any curious mind. I arrived by bus since there are no flights between intermediate cities in Chile and it was very disappointing to find out that there is no proper bus terminal. My bus arrived at 5 am and we had to sit in the floor until a taxi appeared and he took us to the only 24h store in the city, which would only sell through a small window. We had to sit down again on the floor until the sun came out.

Most beautiful city of Chile so far!
Most beautiful city of Chile so far! Convenient transport from the Airport, very beautiful lake view of the volcano, felt safe. Much better place to stay than Puerto Montt, if you are deciding between those two.

This is a gorgeous city, surrounded by so many things to do.
This is a gorgeous city, surrounded by so many things to do. You can go ski to the Osorno Volcano and spend a full day there. Saltos del Petrohue are so beautiful that you can stay half day there. And going south to Chiloé is something you need to do.
This is a splendid guest house in a lovely lakeside location with a nice garden, albeit well outside Puerto Varas. The staff were friendly and tried hard. Breakfasts and the one evening meal we had were pretty good. The hot tubs are nice. We had a nice room/ suite though the decor was tired and we were disturbed by adjacent music and noise from staff and other guests. I have never given a bad review for a booking.com hotel, but this one is pretty difficult. I have spent 3 weeks in Chile, my comments are benchmarked by other hotels.
The hotel is very well located, near El Salvador Street, which is one of the main streets in the city. You can get to very nice restaurants in a 10 to 15 minute walking, as well as to many stores, money exchange, Mall, supermarket and so on. The breakfast has lots of options. The staff is very friendly. By the checkin time I got help from the girl who was in charge. I had no tourist agency in mind, and she immediately told me about a very good one. The room is very clean, and has all the amenities a guest need.
We had an amazing time at hostel MaPatagonia. It is very well located in Puerto Varas, really well equipped / nicely designed and clean. + there is even a hot tub and a nice garden if you want to relax!
Most of all, we felt like at home and Pierre (the owner) and staff were incredibly nice to us, offering us great flexibility and support as my girlfriend has an injured foot. We are so greatful, recommend you to stay at this wonderful place and definitely would like to come back!
I loved the enclosed rooftop area. Great place to drink a glass of wine and watch people on the beach! I also loved that there was a communal refrigerator to keep our drinks cold (you just wrote your room number on a sticker and put it in!) and having free gated parking was a plus. I think there were 5 spaces, but I think this hotel only has a few more rooms than that!
The beautiful hardwood floors and the breakfast was delicious each morning. The elegant presentation of the house, room, and breakfast was impeccable. The host was beyond gracious and went above and beyond in helping us making our stay in Puerto Varas memorable. She provided hiking recommendations and answered our questions as best as she could.
The apt was clean but the door to the balcony didn't lock and the only form of payment was PayPal and I don't use PayPal. My cousin had to transfer from her Chilean acct to theirs. Also you never mentioned the cleaning fee of 35.00 usd which should be included in the original price. The view was no spectacular, just ok
The location is perfect- in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance to downtown Puerto Varas. The grounds themselves are beautiful- full of a variety of trees and plants- and you feel like you’re in the middle of the forest.
Julio and Claudia are kind and helpful hosts.
The room was quiet and comfortable and the bathroom worked well. Everything was very clean. The location is a 15-minute walk to the city center. The owner and her son were very helpful, and picked me up and dtove me to their place when I first arrived in Puerto Varas.
Close to the centre of Puerto Varas. Typical Chilean breakfast-eggs, pastries etc. Nice view from the mirador of the hotel which has some lounges, and would make a nice area for a few cervezas or vinos at the end of the day. Its decent value gor a low price.
very nice and comfortable accommodation for 4 persons, walking distance from the centre of Puerto varas.
house was kept very clean, with beds daily made. stove could be lit on request, but as it was late spring and great weather we did not need it.
The family was very welcoming, nice and so helpful, I felt at home right away. The bed and the room was clean and so comfortable.
After that experience I couldnt think of any other place I would like to stay at when in Puerto Varas
The location is wonderful as are the grounds and the hotel itself is very tastefully decorated. Breakfast was good as was the food we had. It was a bit odd to have to pay for access to the jacuzzi, but it is quite nice.
This was our second time staying here. It is an amazing old home renovated into hotel rooms. Special touches everywhere. Breakfast is fantastic. Staff is so accommodating.
I just love this place !
A stunning hotel that maximises its vantage point of Puerto Varas lake and the enigmatic Osorno volcano with a large luxurious lounge and lovely restaurant. The staff could not have been more helpful.
This place was excellent, I’m so glad I found it. It was cosy and the host, Rodolfo was very attentive and kind.
The room was very good and breakfast was typical Chilean fare
Perfect hotel! Comfortable rooms, great location and amazing view. We loved the lounge with the fireplace! The staff was incredible and super helpful. Also: amazing breakfast.
Welcoming hostel, good location, quiet street, friendly manager. Delicious, generous breakast included. Best (!!) hot water & pressure shower we've had in all of Chile!
I loved the cozy feel of the hotel and the beautiful views from the lake. It was close to everything yet tucked enough away. Everything was so clean and comfortable.
Great place to stay in Puerto Varas.
Clean rooms and comfy beds.
They woman at the reception is super friendly and will help you with everything you need.
lovely hostel, almost like a home! Extremely clean and tidy and with very nice areas to chill in. Not far from the centre of Puerto Varas. Helpful staff.
