One of the gateways to Patagonia, less than 2 hours drive from Hosteria Pehoe. Direct flight from Santiago, everything is convenient, except there is no car rental place at airport. But it is only a 10 min taxi ride to town.

I chose Puerto Natales because it has an airport close to Torres del Paine.
I did four excursions to view the outdoor beauty of southern Chile.
I walked to the bus station to acquire information ... I was pleasantly surprised that a bus can take me futher south, near the tip of South Amarica.

Puerto Natales is a very cool town.
Puerto Natales is a very cool town. We stayed in the park for 2-3 nights and in Puerto Natales for 1 prior to a flight early in the AM. We enjoyed walking through town and had EXCELLENT food at La Disqueria!! It seemed like there were MANY options to stay in PN and travel into TDP - which would be much more cost-efficient than staying in the park! A great city!

There isn’t a whole lot to do in the town itself, you can probably see everything in one day, and the weather is unpredictable even in the summer. It’s walkable and there are some cool shops and restaurants that largely cater to tourists. Most people come here because they are going to hike or tour Torres Del Paine, to see the glaciers, or both, and they don’t want to spend $500 USD or more per night to stay in the park. Figure out how many excursions you want to do, and give yourself an extra day to check out the town.

Puerto Natales is an easily navigated small town and a good jumping off point for tours and trips to Torres del Paine, one of Chile's most famous national parks and hiking trails, as well as for catamaran tours to see the glaciers. The town is equipped with a number of good restaurants, outdoor/sports stores and supermarkets, making it a good place to stop before and/or after excursions. It has a beautiful waterfront. It is cool year round, cold in the winter, keep in mind this region of Chile includes Antarctica so you should always be prepared for wind and cold, although we did have a few relatively warm afternoons.

This is a launching point for treks, adventure hikes, wilderness kayaking trips, etc. During the season, it's crowded with tourists in transit and usually here just for a night or two as they embark or return from an excursion to nearby Torres del Paine, or other areas of nature to explore. It feels like the bulk of the restaurants, shops and stores therefore cater to the needs of monied tourists and so it's expensive.
The Cabañas are every bit as dreamy as they seem. The host David is warm and attentive to every need, and has carefully thought out every minute detail of the stay. Located just outside of Puerto Natales and accessible by car, taxi, or Uber, the Cabañas are the perfect launching point to the beauty of Chilean Patagonia and Torres del Paine -- but they are also a destination all of their own. I will never forget the mountain vistas, the lazy coffee mornings, ethereal hot tub sunsets, and the unmatched hospitality of David and his family.
Clean, comfortable and quiet room.Delicious breakfast which we could have at 5.30am when taking an early excursion.
In the center of Puerto Natales so close to restaurants , tour agencies , car rental and about 12 minutes walk from the bus terminus. Good WiFi connection. Hot water all the time we were there and heating which we could adjust to our liking. Reasonably priced.
We loved this hotel and would definitely choose it if we come back to Puerto Natales
We had a wonderful stay at our cabin. Javier was a very nice host, who took care of us and helped us at any time. The cabins are beautifully located with a view on the lake and the mountains. Perfect accommodation for a relaxing time in between hikes and adventures :)
There is no cooking station in the cabin, but Javier helped us figure out delivery services nearby from the beginning.
It’s a very nice hotel, with a wonderful view and a good restaurant. Arriving after a long journey, we haven’t excepted the comfort we’ve been welcomed with. excellent. The hotel is located a bit outside of the city, just consider it’s a 30-40min walk on the coastline or a 4min driver with a Chilean driver 😉
For us it was a perfect walk, even with a stroller.
The views are amazing. And the hot tub combination makes it perfect for romantic getaways and to simply relax tired muscles at the end of a long day of hiking. Javier is a great host, very attentive and great with communication. Its 10 minutes into town and 1.15 hours to the park entrance. Would recommend to anyone staying in puerto natales.
Lovely B&B in Puerto Natales, comfy and quiet rooms with hot showers. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. They offer an early breakfast for those heading out to Torres Del Paine National Park, as well as having a space to store luggage whilst you're trekking. In a good location between the centre of town and the bus station.
Warm, clean, cozy hotel, perfect localization close to bus station and the main streets. The breakfast is simple, but totally fine, with tasty coffee and scrambled eggs. The staff is super friendly and helpful. If I will ever have a chance to go back to Puerto Natales, I will stay in this hotel again for sure!
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Everyone spoke English very well, which was nice for our group. The morning breakfast was just what we needed, especially with the cooked to order scrambled eggs! I've stayed here three times and would definitely recommend it to others visiting Puerto Natales.
Everything! Very good wifi, very kind host, cleaness, etc etc. Location a bit off from centro (10-15mins walk) but not an issue because it was close to the bus station which was more important for me and probably for most travellers visiting Puerto Natales as most buses depart early morning.
Kau Lodge was a great hotel! The location is amazing, very central to town with a beautiful view. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The cafe in the hotel was delicious also.
We loved everything about this place. The interior, the kindness of the people, the breakfast, the location - it’s been by far the best hotel experience we had while being in Chile. We would have loved to stay longer.
Location is great. Just a few steps from Europcar, the only brand name car rental place in Puerto Natales. If you land in this town and have a rental car from Europcar, this hotel is the hotel of choice.
Excellent property with the best owners. I would 100% recommend staying here when in puerto Natales. Carlos is super helpful and will help you plan your trip even. The hotel is super clean.
This is the best hotel I have stayed in since traveling to Chile for more than ten days, with a warm, comfortable, and beautiful environment. I think I can stay here for a year.
We loved our stay here. This was our one “splurge hotel” for our entire 3-week trip in Chile and Argentina. Comfortable rooms, great shower, food was excellent.
