We went to Farellones for a ski trip and snow was a bit disappointing, but we did enjoyed this little town tucked in the Andes, we ended up playing at the zipline park and hiking which was loads of fun. Getting up there we rented a car. It was an adventure especially when you are not used to narrow roads with sharp switchbacks (40 of them) it can be intimidating at first. Chains are required even if there is no snow and they do check so don't chance this get some. The town is quite nice but getting a table at a restaurant (either at Farellones or some of the hotels at ski resorts) was surprisingly difficult, word of advise do not procrastinate on your dinner plans, you might be disappointed if you don't reserve ahead.StephanUnited States - 10Scored 10

Beautiful views of the Andes. The drive up is challenging. I am glad we had a driver. We were there in July, winter, but there wasn't much snow, unfortunately. Still very lovely. Extremely peaceful and quiet and a nice break from Santiago.JamesUnited States

The hosts are exceptional individuals who are always on hand for a friendly conversation and impeccable suggestions regarding the weather, skiing, and the area in general. The location couldn't be better, as its right on the El Colorado lift which you can use to also access Parva and Valle. Its also within waling distance to the resturants and bars in Farellones.
