    I attained the objective of my visit.

    I attained the objective of my visit. But for the poor hygiene and sanitation at the Hotel Sawa, all other things were very good. Dinner at the Gemi Wing restaurant was excellent. I can easily move around Douala because of the availability of different transport options. On my net visit, I will avoid the Sawa Hotel

    Douala is the life wire of the Cameroon economy, with lots businesses centered here. It is easy to get around with yellow taxi, taxi from your hotel or using a mobile app to get a taxi. The town is at the sea bed of the atlantic ocean and the wouri river, heavy rainfall, hot and humid weather! Akwa, where my hotel was located, was not clean at all, especially at Boulevard Ahmadou Ahidjo. The streets had not been swept and refuse dump every where.

    The house was dusty and the fridge dirty.

    The house was dusty and the fridge dirty. The sheet were of the same as what was advertised hence not changed. The electricity is prepaid and i have to pay for that. I later noted that under the bed was never swept. ( see picture). They were cockroaches in the bathroom. Overall the state of the place was so dirty and not worth the money paid.

    Douala is a beautiful city but you just have to be careful...

    Douala is a beautiful city but you just have to be careful when making a reservation for a place to stay because you can see many of them online of which they do exist even if you do resaved a place make sure to having a conversation with them before starting your journey if ever the contact number provided doesn’t go through forget it because it will never go through.

    If you want to have excellent and gorgeous fish for lunch/dinner, go to Base Navale, there you will find places looking very simple, some built in colonial style, but the feeling and the fresh catch of the day will let you dream.

    Everything about the place is superb. Lovely, homely, extremely comfortable, fully equipped, surprisingly modern, quiet, secure, safe and well located. Jean Francois is the most understanding and kind host. He gave us a lift, carried all our luggage in his truck and took us to the flat. That made a whole difference, as we had too many suitcases. I highly recommend this place to anyone. This will be my home from home anytime I come to Cameroon. We love the place 😍👌🏼

    The residence is very centrally situated, close to a supermarket and with an easy access to the main road to catch a taxi. The host of Bolo Residence is simply amazing! Edith is very welcoming and available in case you need help with something/advice to navigate the city. Taxi service can be made available to you - simply ask. We had the phone number of a couple of drivers, which really facilitated our travels around Douala.

    This is a good hotel in a good area with an attractive interior design, very clean and staff who are welcoming and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast was good. It does not take long to get to the airport from the hotel and they have a free airport shuttle. A place I will definitely look to stay in again next time I am in Douala.

    Comfortable bed, cold and quiet room. Pleasant breakfast. The facilities are very basic, for example in the room there is a wardrobe but no hangers; there's only one towel per room (even though we booked a double room); and the sandals on offer were not only use cheap Havaianas type, but didn't even match!

    The hotel was in a good location. The room was thoughtfully arranged with a nice shower. The buffet has a good selection of food in the evenings. I really appreciated the security at the hotel. We took the airport shuttle and the driver was inside the airport waiting for us when we arrived.
