We spent an exceptionally beautiful time at Levit Glamping and recommend staying here 100%! From the very first second we were just amazed by the beauty of this place. The location is spectacular: Directly by the lake and super calm and private with no other buildings around - only stunning nature. Because of the silence you’re able to hear (and watch) all the birds and completely relax. The place itself is super cute and you can feel the love they put into it. All the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive - the whole time we felt welcomed and well cared for in a very genuine way. During movie night they even surprised us with popcorn which was adorable. The bathroom was clean and modern plus the shower had a very good water pressure. Another big plus were the three adorable dogs which made us feel super safe at night. :) The place also offers activities like educational walks through the forest and you can use their kayaks anytime during the day, which we sadly didn’t have any time for since we only stayed one night. Next time we’re gonna try and come back for longer. Definitely stay here if you want to be able to enjoy a beautiful, relaxing time away from everything!

I definitelywould recommend staying at least overnight to be able to enjoy Guatape. The day trip just doesn't cover it. Plus a bonus is being able to walk around in the morning when nobody is around!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the cute little town of Guatape. We climbed up the Piedra del penol rock and the views are mind-blowing. We also enjoyed our stay at La Pausa hotel with stellar lakefront views. Loved Guatape:)

I spent 3 nights in Guatapé. Lovely town.
I spent 3 nights in Guatapé. Lovely town. Such a relaxed vibe. I think it’s a shame to just come on a day trip to take of few photos of colourful buildings. It’s a nice place to stroll the streets, especially in the evening, with many great restaurant options. I could have stayed longer. There are plenty of things to do like go on a boat tour, or climb la piedra. Walk throughout the streets and shop or chat with the friendly locals. Or just relax with a coffee and a treat at the many cafe’s, or a beer at one of the pubs. If you are not in a rush to cram everything into a day, I’d recommend staying at least a night.

What a colorful town.
What a colorful town. I read so many people do just a day trip but I’m so glad we spent the night. I wish we would’ve spent 2 nights. You have to climb the piedra but also give yourself enough time in the town itself. We did a boat ride but I wish we would’ve had more time to do other water activities as it’s just so pretty.

Gutape is cool, not polluted and so safe that people leave doors open. I wasn't given a pavilion key and the door could easily be opened if the nearby window was open. There are two main towns, El Penol and Guatape. El Penol is larger and more everyday paced; Guatape has restaurants by the dozens to cater to the tourists from Medellin, Colombia, and, increasingly, from another continent. The altitude is such that it is between 62 and 78 F. year round; however, global warming seems to have raised the maximal temperature to 80F. or a bit more. The "lake" is beautiful, steep promontories along a winding "coastline", dotted with secondary homes of wealthy Colombians for the most part. Last notice is that the place is above 1800 meters and I had altitude sickness, which would have dissipated over a few days. The only tourist landmark is a giant black rock that Colombians seem to find attractive and they can climb to the top. I found it a dark, mass that ruined the overall scenery. To each his own.

Busy but charming town. Lovely waterfront.
Busy but charming town. Lovely waterfront. Makes every effort to entice you to buy beautiful things you don’t need. These are well-made crafts. Charming houses. A bit noisy with most cafes playing loud music, although I found one playing delightful piano jazz and I lingered there. A few hours in town was enough for me, though, and I was glad I stayed a few km away.
We knew when we booked that the hotel grounds have an amazing view, but the reality far exceeded our expectations. It feels like you are part of a postcard! More than that, the hotel staff is very nice and welcoming, always there to make sure we have everything we need and to ask about our day or give recommendations. This is the best place to stay in Guatape because it has everything - you are close to El Penol and a short, fun motochiva ride away from the town, have the best views and delicious food served at their restaurant.
Casa dodo is a perfect place to stay in Guatapé. The apartment is situated at the waterfront and just a minute away from the city center. A very nicely decorated apartment with all the equipment you need for a nice stay, even included a filtered water tap. Because of the insulated windows there is hardly no sounds from the traffic. The owner is very helpful and always responds very quickly on questions. If I return to Guatapé I would certainly go there again.
This is a glamping site which is 20 minutes away by boat from "Hotel mi refugio y mas" docking site, you need to be prepared to leave your car at the restaurant available spots and pay the parking fee the day you return; the glamping site is far away, so pack everything you need, like food, refreshments, etc, either way, you will have a mini bar there. The accommodations are nice and the jacuzzi was also great. The personnel was very friendly and attentive.
Like normal stuff ( cigars and utilities) , need not available we have to go 1 km
Food service good . But offline hours avalibilth since it is outcome need to go long distance for food
Checkout it should be perfect time … every hour addionañl charges
From airport if we are pointing to hotel address it’s not accurate direction . Once nearest location reached after need to follow directions
Booked last minute to stay for a night in Guatapé after day trip. Didn’t spend long time in the hotel but enjoyed our short stay. Only few breakfast choices but tasted delicious, also great coffee and hot chocolate! Wish we could have stayed longer because place was so chill and beautifully located. Amazing views from rooms / pool / restaurant terrace.
I loved the warm welcome and treatment I received by Sandra from the front desk. She assisted me with booking a tour and was incredibly kind and helpful as I was traveling alone and this was my first time in Guatape. The views from the hotel were amazing and my room and bathroom were clean and tidy. I would absolutely stay there again!
The food was amazing, and they offer many activities to do during your stay.
My room was called "La Clarita" and it had a spectacular view of the natural forest and lake. I would strongly recomend visiting this hotel if you are looking to get away from Medellin for a weekend or if you intend visiting Guatape.
This is an excellent place for recovering and relax. Rooms are spacious with big windows and nice jacuzzi. And the main point is the cuisine. The cocking lady makes the best food in Guatape - super tasty and healthy. The area of the hotel is super safe, green and calm. Higly recommended!
The whole hotel have an excellent view to Guatapé reservoir. It also provides access to water sports (kayaks, surfing, boats etc). The staff is amazing, really kind and eager to help, they are always trying to make you feel as comfortable as posible.
We loved the location. We could easily walk to La Piedra and even walked into Guatape. It was quiet. The host was exceptional at answering questions and assisting us, especially with transportation.
This hotel is well designed, nice interior design and very close to Piedra del Peñol, you can even go walking from the hotel, great food and service, family friendy, I would totally recommend this
We enjoyed our stay in Guatape. The apartment is convenient, even though it is not in the city. With two rooms, we had a comfortable stay, allowing us to split the resting area.
