Beach area and main street along the lagoon trashy but looks beautiful from afar. Two restaurants nice, clean and relaxing others I would not consider. No shops to poke your head into that look inviting. 1 day as a pass through would be enough time but not as a destination. I stayed at Techos Azules overlooking lagoon area and a short walk to the beach/lagoon area which is ideal. If you stay in hostels I would not book the one (white building) located on the beachfront.

I loved the view from the window, the apartment was gorgeous and clean. It had a breakfast bar, a fridge, excellent wifi. It was perfect for working and during the day I could walk to the beach and have lunch. The owner Jackie is wonderful and sweet. Anything that you need she helps with and even provided fresh coffee in the morning. Thanks for an amazing stay! The mountains and sunsets are beautiful!

Friendly people.. roads and beach not perfect but added to the charm.. good vibe to the place. No Starbucks or McDonald’s 😁😁😁
Scuba shops all over.. Recommend Reef Shepherds! Was good dive just in the bay, but think better in park.. didn’t go due to Vis!

I thought that staying out of Santa Marta would be quieter but not so. There isn't a whole lot to do in Taganga. To get to Tayrona you have to go back to Santa Marta anyway, unless you get the boat from Taganga. A few days was enough. Babaganoush is a lovely restaurant - I only knew of it because a friend had told me.

This place was too jarring for me. If you want to party and pay extra for everything, this is the place to go. It has obviously been jaded by tourism.
There are so many other beautiful places in Colombia to visit. I stayed here one night and then moved on to Santa Marta. It worth it.

The weekends ( and probably public holidays) are noisy and the weekdays quiet.
The resort has an edgy reputation but we found it fine during the day and early evening.
There are some good places to eat.
I absolutely loved this place! It was way more beautiful than I expected. Our room was bright, breezy, and clean. There was so much space to spread out, practice yoga, and lay in the hammocks. The best part was the staff... I lost something very important to me and Dona put in so much effort to make sure it was returned to me. Truly lovely people, they were so helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Casa de Felipe to anyone visiting Taganga.
I really felt at home in that hostel. The staff was so nice. I miss them so much (Nataly, Cangri and the other volunteers).
The clients are mix of Colombian people and tourists, which is a nice mix.
I decided to make a bit of volunteering there, I really enjoyed it!
They also propose different activities that you can do in Taganga.
Finally, the bar and rooftops are so nice to enjoy a good beer or the sunset.
Gracias a todos, los extraño!
This place is great, super nice hostel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The pool is small but really clean and actually is nicer than the photos show. Nice big open kitchen, super clean. Great hammock chilling zone. Perfect location close to the main beach and trail to other beaches but on a side street so it's not too noisy or busy outside. I can't say enough good things about this place, definitely the best hostel around
Everything, one of the best hotels we've stayed at on our trip in South America. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Everything is so clean and fresh. Great terrace with hammocks overlooking the sea and mountains with a wonderful breeze. Breakfasts are amazing too. It has to be the best place to stay in manic little Taganga. Would strongly recommend!! Thank you Hotel ocean for all your help and warmth ☺️
Laura answered in a minute and was so helpful. She and her mom are some of the sweetest people we have met and we really recommend staying with them! The room was clean and comfortable, and the location is great! 3 minutes from the beach, but relatively very quiet (Taganga is a very noisy place). The breakfast was delicious, our stay was very good experience for us. Thank you Laura and Servilla!
The layout of the hostel feels like a tree house! All different level and point of entries - super fun & cool! The staff were LOVELY! The included breakfast can with delicious eggs, toast, a smoothie, coffee, and fresh fruit. Our room did not have AC but the fan kept us cool at night. The most amazing sunset views as the hostel is located up on a hill over looking the beach.
This was the perfect place for our stay in Taganga. Casa Tara is about 10min walk from the main beach area where all the bars and restaurants are, which makes it a quiet stay. The room was very cosy and spacious. Andres is such a great host, made us feel right at home and helped us with any questions we had. We would definitely go back anytime!
I enjoyed a lot my time in Villa Mary, i always stay in Villa Mary when i visit taganga because is close to the Center of the Town, very friendly people in the Hostel, they have pizza shop there so i had good dinner with pizza, and i the Hostel is peaceful, thank you Eliezer
Great location practically right on the beach, set back a little so it was quiet at night, no issues with sleeping. The A/C worked well, the price was more than fair for what we got. The kitchen looked a bit dirty so we never ate there at the hostel.
The room was very clean, there was air conditioning and it’s really important in taganga and the best thing was mari from the reception. She helped me with everything that I was needed whether it was laundry, questions and anything else.
Fantastic value! We loved the location and views and all the places to hang out and chill to escape or look over the bustling beach of Taganga.
The staff was very helpful and quick to act on our requests.
The place is great. Carolina was very nice and helpful. The hostel has an incredible view taganga, and the sea. The place is just like 3 mins away by walk from the shops.
The staff was very friendly, we also very much enjoyed the hammocks outside, there's a nice breeze. This side of Taganga is pretty quiet at night. The pool was a plus.
The view is amazing!!! Best hotel to stay in Taganga. Additionally staff was super cool, especially Jesus he was really friendly and helpful with me and my friend.
