Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.

The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!

Quepos, is right next to Manuel Antonio.

Quepos, is right next to Manuel Antonio. I found it to be a cheaper stay than staying on the strip to the beach/park. Theres public transportation from quepos to manuel which leaves frequently. The food in town is great! With amazing prices. Found it Ideal for backpackers. Theres a few secret view points in town.

After a tiring stay in a hostel, we just wanted a break and rest. And we didn't want a hotel on the route to the national park. Everything overpriced. The location is wonderful. The rooms are wonderful. The pool of the ressort is a blessing. The cuisine is very good. You should eat there. But. It is located on a road where very loud trucks thunder along all night. It was our end of staying in Costa Rica. It was a good end in this ressort, but.... Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

The location was phenomenal. The veranda out side the room had a good view, was sheltered from the sun and a pleasant place to sit. The Hotel is set amongst forest and almost on the beach. The wildlife comes to you. The swimming pool has seen better days but it’s in a very special location and the capuchin monkeys regularly visit to hang out with their family. The beach is totally amazing. Manuel Antonio is only a 10 minute jaunt along the beach. This hotel is an experience in itself. Well worth a visit.

It was so nice to stay in a home for a change, and you are Cesar's own private guests as they is no more room for anyone else. The casa is situated down a small quite lane, (3rd house to the right from the yellow one) so you don't hear any traffic noise. The bed was so comfortable, we probably had the best Costa Rican sleep here! Cesar gave us loads of information about the surrounding area and booked a tour for us, he even offers private transportation to help you get to your next destination.

We felt like staying at our friends. It’s a big space with really everything you might need. Like in all Costa Rica, it is recommended to have a car, but if you like walking, you will mange - we did, our friendly taxi driver was driving us around. It’s 15 minutes drive to the Manuel Antonio park and 20 minutes walk to great restaurants. Surrounding area is so beautiful, very well kept garden and different animals. Great shower, living room, comfy bed, fast WiFi, Netflix

Our favourite stay in Costa Rica!!!! Miguel is an absolute legend and his family was so lovely and welcoming. The whole places is self sufficient/ eco friendly as it runs on solar power ect and you truly feel like your living the beach dream (you have your own private beach a few steps from your room). Was very easy to hire surf board and use for the whole day. We were only for a short period but would love to go back and get a surf lesson from Miguel!

Very close to the bus terminal, 2 minute walk. Ideal for taking the bus to Manuel Antonio National Park. Nearby to a supermarket, restaurants and bars. Hosts very kindly let me stay at the hostel whilst waiting for a night bus departing from Quepos hospital. Great shower rooms with good pressure showers. Dorm room had air conditioning and I was offered a towel for my stay. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

I absolutely loved this little gem in Quepos. It’s close to the bus station so you can quickly get to destinations between quepos and Manuel Antonio easily. My room was clean and the decor is minimalistic and cute. I loved the sitting area for the restaurant. the breakfast was really good as well. The staff was kind of dry but really helpful with any requests and questions that I had.

Panda House is a private, two bedroom house for rent a few blocks away from the central part of Quepos. Easy walking distance to many restaurants, the ocean front, and the bus station. A very good kitchen for those looking to cook their own meals, with the supermarket 3 blocks away. Air con, cable TV, WiFi, living room, comfortable beds.

This was off the beaten path and a wonderful place to stay on the central Pacific coast outside of Quepos. Just what we were looking for to experience an authentic piece of Costa Rica. Markus, Tulio and the rest of the crew were fantastic. Beautiful grounds and an amazing place to see wildlife and natural flora.
