The tour in the park was excellent, the town is laid with things easily found we had good restraunts and ths services were freindly and helpful.
The biggest drawback is the lack of bancos atimatico that works better
The line was long and many people had to repeat the sequence of instructions to get anything yet the hotels asked for cash only. Very frustrating and scary if you didn't bring enough dollars or colony s
The grocey store delived groceries a nd took a credit card. We had such a lai back experience.

Cahuita is a laid back town at the edge of Cahuita National Park. It is seeming in wildlife. You don't even have to enter the park to see the wildlife. We saw huge green iguana, common black hawk, families of capuchin, howler and spider monkeys, green basilisk, agoutis, herons, kingfishers - all outside the park. Inside the park we saw sloths, eyelash vipers, frigate birds and raccoons in addition to the other animals we saw outside. Beaches are pristine and nice to swim in. The neighboring town of Puerto Viego was another laid back village by the sea. A tranquil place to visit!

Cahuita was a friendly small community that showed so much love to us! Conventiently located near a beautiful beach, Playa Negro, and the food was fabulous. Lobster picked straight from the tank to our plate--delicious! Chef Doria at Caribbean Soul Taste was a joy and her food was just as amazing. Stopping at her restaurant is a must if you are in Cahuita. Another must is the Cahuita Nacional Park. We saw groups of monkeys and sloths and even a blue morpho butterfly in the park--and it's free! Would return to Cahuita in a heartbeat!

Cahuita has become crowded with tourists hoping to see the wildlife in the National Park, when you have so many tourists in the park it is difficult to view the animals because they just aren’t there, the wildlife will move deeper into the rainforest to escape the gaze of humans!!

The hotel owner Josey was very nice and helpful. When my spouse wasn’t feeling well Josey made her a herbal tea that helped her feel better. Josey made us feel welcome and at home, we recommend staying at her place

Our hosts were outstanding offering suggestions about local attractions, and local foods. The kitchen and dining facilities were very good. When one of our group had a minor medical issue our hosts arranged a home visit by a local doctor, imagine that!.
Downtown is a pleasant 20 walk away.
We would like to upgrade our rating from a 9 to a 10, please.
Less than 10 mins walk into Cahuita, really quiet at night so slept very well. Pool was amazing, as was the setting and garden. Rooms were simple, but very clean & had a TV with Netflix on which was great for rainy days. Our favourite place to eat was Soda Kawe. The beaches in the national park were truly amazing and it's easy to make a day out of walking in the park. The hotel was only about 15 mins away from the entrance. The host was really helpful and approachable, booking taxis for us when needed etc. Would definitely stay again!
The hotel is well run! They made you feel like home right away. The room was spacious and nice. The breakfast was amazing. They served a nice plate of fresh fruits, nice bakery products and then, eggs an bacon. :-) Good way to start the day. They also offer a safe parking. The location is right down town. There are nice resto and bar around with Caribbean music, just next door. It stopped at 9 pm, so noting to keep you awake all night. The beach is around 10 minutes by walk. I recommend la Casa de las Flores.
Amazing hotel, one of the best i have ever stayed. Jaqluin and her team are very friendly and helpful. Will help you with everything. very beautifull place with big garden and excelent pool in jungles. You will meet almost all costa rica popular animals there:sloths, monkeys, frogs, toucans, hamingbirds, frogs and others)) like a park, not hotel! very tasty breakfast with natural juice. Personal black beach where you will be alone. Strightly reccomend this hotel.
Everything!!!!! How is it possible not to love paradise? Situated just next to Cahuita National Park, surrounded by the jungle, the accommodation offers out of this world aural, visual and olfactory sensations. The bungalow itself was fantastic. The kettle and coffee making machine were a bonus. The separate bungalow providing all the kitchen essentials was also very useful. The best accommodation option for nature lovers 🙉🦥🦜
The pool was a great amenity to have surrounded by lush green trees. The hosts were great and even dropped me at a slightly different location in town for a surf lesson I had booked. Matheo even organised a food delivery on my last night as I was feeling ill and delivered it straight to my door. Easy to walk to one entrance of the National Park which was great and called me a taxi when I wanted to go into Cahuita
We loved how private the bungalows were and the beautiful gardens where we saw birds and listened to the howler monkeys. The separate kitchen was great to make additional meals, the coffee maker and fridge in the room was a plus.
The location was amazing, though Cahuita is small we were tucked away from the main road but only steps away from the entrance to the park. All around a great stay.
The property is less than 2 minutes walk away from the best beach in Cahuita, the Black Beach. The property has a beautiful garden and even star fruit trees. Edward and Anna are so nice and sweet. They even offered free water/juice/beer for free. The property itself is like a small paradise, such a welcoming and relaxing place to be. and our special love goes to Pluto, the cute puppy.
Staff was very nice. Location of hotel was excellent. It was 20 minutes walking distance to Playa Negra and less than 5 minutes walk to Parque Nacional. Also location was great for restaurants and bars.
Ambience of property was nice. Every room had hammock available to be used. There is a shared kitchen area.
The cabinas are in between Cahuita and Playa Negra and a short (and safe but a bit dark, take a torch!) walk from both along a gravelly path. They are very near a really great little breakfast/brunch spot on the beach. The aircon was very necessary in Cahuita. The communal kitchen was a useful and nice addition.
We had a wonderful stay! The bungalows are clean and right in the jungle, staff was great, and location was ideal. Not quite in Cahuita proper, but just a couple miles away and so close to the beach! Diego was an amazing host and made us the most delicious breakfast. We would absolutely stay again.
luxurious gem in Cahuita. Beautifully appointed guest suite and bathroom. Gorgeous surroundings, and only a 3 minute walk to the Main Street. Road well lit at night. We were greeted by Daniel the host, and informed about everything we need to know about the property.
very beautiful place, quiet, and very close to cahuita national park. The owners are really nice and helpful. The kitchen was super nice! I think the best kitchen I’ve seen so far in all the hostels I’ve been. All in all a great experience, especially for the price!
Very nice setting, the bungalows are well equipped and nicely decorated. Pool is clean and open from 8 to 8, allowing for a swim under the stars.location is perfect for a trip to the Cahuita National park or a beach nearby. Loved it.
By far the best hotel we stayed in in Costa Rica, great value for money. The host Daniele went absolutely above and beyond for us during our stay, helping with recommendations and organising transport and food for us.
The space is so peaceful but around the corner from the main drag of Cahuita, and only 15-20 minutes from Puerto Viejo.
No a/c, but I don't find it necessary.
Loved the menagerie of friendly cats and a dog.
I enjoyed stay at this place. The location is convenient, a few minutes from bus terminal, a bank, Main Street and the Cahuita national park. The owners are really nice, friendly and helpful:)
Lovely little hotel in the middle of Cahuita. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. The room was spacious and comfortable. Nice pool. Reliable hot water and WiFi. A very nice stay
Beautiful garden, great location, nearby Cahuita National Park, bus terminal and supermarket, restaurants, bed is comfortable and clean, owner super lovely.
