Villas Jacquelina, hotel in Quepos

Hotel Villas Jacquelina is a eco-friendly boutique hotel in Quepos featuring mountainous views, a pool, free WiFi, and a shared kitchen. Local and International breakfasts served daily.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Villa Jacquelina and would definitely stay there again. We had room with three beds and a private bathroom that worked our very well for our family of 4. The room was very clean. We really loved the outdoor terrace area near the common kitchen (the breakfast was the best out of 5 hotels that we stayed at in Costa Rica) and found everyone to be super hospitable. The pool was cute and our favorite part was the breath breath work and yoga classes that took place on the terrace.

Everything was in perfect shape -- looked newly renovated -- and perfectly clean. The kitchen was great. Large shower (with hot water!) was excellent. Loved the tile decor. Bed was very comfortable. I was especially glad for the ceiling fan and A/C, since it was about 95 degrees F outside!

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.

The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!

Sueno Tranquil is a small motel-style hotel, with a line of rooms facing onto a small parking area, and the pool beyond it behind a wall. The pool was very small, but pleasant and open until quite late at night (a rarity in Costa Rica). The room was clean and comfortable with good air-conditioning. It's only 5 minutes' walk from the seafront in the centre of Quepos and is directly opposite a reasonably priced fish restaurant.

The place is really nice and very comfortable. As you have two kitchens to use and plenty of space to hang out, it feels really cozy. All the staff are absolutely lovely, happy to give you advice and answer questions. We stayed an extra night because the national park was closed the day we wanted to see it and because we liked it so much here! It's been our favourite place to stay in Costa Rica so far.

Arboleda is a delightful "old lady of an hotel ... slightly dated, very well priced and the location is fantastic! Beautiful beach front on the quiet side of the beach with loungers and walking distance to the Manuel Antonio National Park. We enjoyed the hospitality of the family run establishment and the charm of yesteryear ! They also make a great Pina Colada!!

Really liked the is hostel, had great social spaces and a really large kitchen. The garden area and pool were really peaceful, nicer than the pictures! Perfect location, most hostels were on the main road to Manuel Antonio so you couldn’t walk out, however being in Quepos meant could easily do this here and was super close to the bus stop. Would highly recommend.

Everything was amazing from the wonderful woman that greeted us, the nice gentleman that showed us how to work the A/C, the waiter for dinner and the amazing am staff that was cheerful and bright for breakfast. If ever in the area would definitely stay again. We did not allow enough time to experience the trails from the hotel but the pool was relaxing.

Miguel surf camp is a spectacular place! It is a paradisiacal place with a unique beach right in front of us and perfect waves. Miguel and his family are wonderful people, very welcoming and always ready to help out. They prepared us delicious meals. Best place in costa rica and one of the best experiences of our life, we loved every second.

The best accomodation we had in Costa Rica. You really feel that the owners love this place. Very tidy, great breakfast. We actually enjoyed it that much that the first day we just stayed at the hostel relaxing. If you are having second thoughts because of the far away location, the taxi takes you to the national park for just 5000 CRC.

We loved the location! Close to Quepos and Manuel Antonio Beach/Park. There was an amazing restaurant a few steps from the condo. We were 1/2 block from the buses going in each direction which was so convenient. The pool area was so cute and the people there were all nice. The grounds were very well maintained! We loved our stay!

With a bus stop right outside it was easy to get back and forth. I felt very safe here. Great sleep in the comfiest bed so far in Costa Rica ... Chilled atmosphere, pretty restaurant...Pura Vida

What a beautiful lodge with the most amazing people. If you are staying anywhere near Quepos you HAVE to stay here. We were planning on staying two nights and immediately extended our stay to three nights. If you happen to have binoculars…bring them. Peaceful beauty with the best hosts in the world.
