Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.
The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers!
Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!
We stayed for a couple of nights to visit Manuel Antonio and Jorge and Pamela were so helpful with suggestions for the national park and Quepos. They were very friendly and lovely to chat to. The little cabin was really cute and it was nice to wake up on the mezzanine level and look out at the trees. We saw red macaws each morning which was amazing. Lots of shade to help with the heat and nice to be just outside of the main town. We appreciated the coffee and fruit that was provided in the morning. Would stay again.
Breakfast was excellent and very appreciated. The Staff is very kind and warm. The animals, birds and especially the squirrel monkeys were awesome. Although the room and bed were small, it is a very cute hotel and it really grew on us as we were there for 4 nights. The Food and Drinks at the top of the mountain was excellent and prices were great. We enjoyed the 360 degree view and the
What a great place to stay!
The Casa Quepos Family is really warming and offers nice rooms and a clean bath to share. You should try breakfast there - I had a big gallo pinto with fruits and tortilla and I think it might have been the best breakfast I had in Costa Rica. I didn't try dinner but I bet it tastes great too.
Muchas gracias a la familia otra vez!
It’s a really amazing hostel with a very nice pool and common area to chill in, the kitchen is probably the best of any hostel I’ve been to, very well equipped and spacious and beautiful. Rooms are quite simple, but there’s lockers! Lots of shared bathrooms and staff very helpful. Perfectly situated in Quepos.
Just awesome, Roberto and the 2 ladies running the hotel were all charming - super hospitable and very helpful in all respects. Great room, with en-suite and AC for a very reasonable price and only a couple of minutes from the centre of Quepos. Couldn’t recommend it enough, perfect stay🙏😀🍻👍🏻
The Gallo Pinto breakfast was especially delicious and highly recommended - as were the lunches and dinners.
All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay very special.
They were very knowledgeable about Costa Rica, the birds and the wildlife.
Lovely accomodation close to Quepos and Manuel antonio. The price is very reasonable
The pool and gardens are beautiful. The kitchen is well equiped. The host's Mother came to greet us and she was the nicest person we met in costa rica ! Loved our stay here would highly recommend
A really great place. The location is perfect - 5 min from quepos bus station and near everything .
The place is very quiet and safe.
The room was also perfect - very big, clean and with air conditioning.
Also they had hot waters in the shower .
A lovely little hotel just outside of Quepos. A charming owner, helped us with our laundry and let us stay late and take a shower after the visit to the Manuel Antonio parc. Would definitely recommend! Calm and yet close to everything!
The environment, decor, staff, food, and location were all great. The dinner was one of the best meals we had during our vacation. The property is beautiful and gives you ample opportunity to see wildlife without leaving the hotel.
Our favourite stay in Costa Rica. The staff were absolutely fantastic; always happy and really eager to help. The whole place had a fantastic vibe and we really couldn't have asked for more from our stay.
Super nice hotel, with great rooms and friendly staff. The hotel has a beachfront, a restaurant with good vegan options and it’s walking distance to Manuel Antonio (10 mins tops). Definitely recommended!
Amazing view! Very close to the beach- would dedinitely come back! Cozy hotel with well equipped rooms and all the employees are kind and professional. Breakfast is delicious!
Location Location Location..beach is steps away and BEAUTIFUL! hotel is ok, not luxury by any means but clean, air condition worked great, shower was good and perfect for us.
Excellent value! William took care of us from beginning to end. He was very accommodating and helpful. It was nice to have a kitchen for a few days. Quepos is a great town
Very nice apartment in a Costa Rican neighbourhood, off the beaten track. Well equipped kitchen, clean house and air-conditioner, comfortable sofa and armchairs
