Location of Albergue La Laguna is great for nature and bird lovers. Lodge is quite simple but beds were comfy, clean and there were no insects in our rooms. Lodge is surrounded by nature - lagoon, forest, meadows. There are only 4 rooms and there is huge space with hammocks, tables, armchairs to relax. Staff was very friendly and they offered tasty breakfast at reasonable price. It was one of 2-3 greatest accomodation during our month stay in Costa Rica. Remote and 4x4 car access only!

Richie and the team did an amazing job, we arrived and the refrigerator was broken, they replaced it right away. We asked two times for having early bird breakfast, it was not a problem. Very friendly and helpful staff! Right in front of our villa we had monkeys, it was fun to watch them. The view from our villa was great, also from the pool.

Small town with lots around.
Small town with lots around. Amazing warm bay that we kayaked out into everyday (becuse Cabinas Jimenez provided free use of them) It is calm, swimable and full of fish and marine mammals. We loved the ceviche at several places-Delphines is the favorite. fun vibe there on the water Get your produce at the fresh market at the entrance to town-great selection. Very hot at midday, but mornings and evenings are heavenly.

We did a daytrip to Corcovado Nationalpark. The Tour was organized by Osa Wild (a local organisation). The Guide was very good and we saw lots of exotic animals during the Day. Corcovado and Osa Peninsula are very wild and untamed in relation to some more touristic places in Costa Rica. Puerto Jiménez isn‘t that special, but it‘s a good place to start Tours to Corcovado.

A quiet, unspoilt small harbour town. Los Delphines was a great place to eat, chill and watch the wildlife. Watch out for caimans! Jaguar is a lovely little gift shop selling delicious drinks and ice creams. Night kayaking to see the bioluminescence was fantastic.

We saw a lot of animals, including macaw parrots and monkeys, bioluminescence in the water at night and more. The familiy which lived there was really nice and helpful with everything, breakfast was very delicious and the rooms always clean. Its the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.
