Finca Guarumo is a farm where we combine the production of agricultural food with the conservation of nature. For more than 15 years we have been moving from a conventional agricultural system to an agroecological and organic system. We have a rustic cabin located inside the farm surrounded by vibrant nature where you can observe many species of birds, herds of monkeys (howler and capuchin), sloths, butterflies, bees, large trees and much more. The cabin has a small kitchen with a refrigerator, a 2-position induction stove, kettle, air fryer, and kitchen utensils for you to prepare your food to your liking (we do not provide food service). In addition, during your stay, you can freely enjoy the products of the farm that are available such as plantains, bananas, coconuts, cassava, lemons, breadfruit, among others. Finca Guarumo has an Organic Agriculture Tour where we take you to the orchard and explain the main management practices we carry out to produce food sustainably and with the highest quality. In addition, we have a small forest (2 hectares) with trails that you can walk self-guided. At the rear of the property you will be able to enjoy the fresh and clean waters of the San José River that borders the property to the north. A small farm with chickens, pigs and cows you will also enjoy. Finally, you will be able to enjoy a starry night, a field of fireflies and the lullaby of the night full of sounds of nature. In the region you can enjoy our iconic Sarapiquí River where you can take a boat or adventure tour (rafting).
