Small town with lots around. Amazing warm bay that we kayaked out into everyday (becuse Cabinas Jimenez provided free use of them) It is calm, swimable and full of fish and marine mammals.
We loved the ceviche at several places-Delphines is the favorite. fun vibe there on the water
Get your produce at the fresh market at the entrance to town-great selection.
Very hot at midday, but mornings and evenings are heavenly.

The nature and exploration available from PJ as a takeoff point was amazing. Books tours early, or you may not secure a space, take himing boots and shorts and waterproof raingear just in case, and be prepared to rough it a little.

Anne, at reception, was friendly and welcoming and always addressed me by name, as if she'd known me forever! That impressed me!
I loved the tropical decor, the ambiance and laid back vibe here. Loved meeting other guests in the common areas, from all over the world. Loved having the outdoor kitchen, and BBQ to cook in.

We did a daytrip to Corcovado Nationalpark.
We did a daytrip to Corcovado Nationalpark. The Tour was organized by Osa Wild (a local organisation).
The Guide was very good and we saw lots of exotic animals during the Day. Corcovado and Osa Peninsula are very wild and untamed in relation to some more touristic places in Costa Rica. Puerto Jiménez isn‘t that special, but it‘s a good place to start Tours to Corcovado.

A quiet, unspoilt small harbour town.
A quiet, unspoilt small harbour town. Los Delphines was a great place to eat, chill and watch the wildlife. Watch out for caimans! Jaguar is a lovely little gift shop selling delicious drinks and ice creams. Night kayaking to see the bioluminescence was fantastic.
We had a wonderful stay at Anluka House. Giselle was very warm, kind, and welcoming. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. It had a refrigerator, washing machine, and a burner to cook (with all utensils and plates). It was very close to places we needed to go in Puerto Jimenez (bus depot, supermarket, tour offices, etc). There was a very friendly hummingbird outside on the bushes right by the room. We hope to stay with Giselle again soon! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
the hotel doesn't exist. no sign, no lights outside, dark building, no people, no reception. I was met by a drunk guy he has opened the building for me and offered to wait for the owner inside. I was scared the situation was like a crime scene. I run away.
Booking.com sent me automated message that the charge was made and they won't return the money. Will never use this sammers site again. Will dispute the charge.
don't book this hotel it doesn't exist.
Nice welcome by the reception staff and helpfulness of it during the stay. Good meals prepared and served with kindness by the local staff. Wild beautiful beach in front of the hotel. Peaceful place at day and night. Kindness of the owner Toby and a lot of personal paintings from his wife Lauren. Birds, trees, leaves and sometimes monkeys shouting. If you wish to stay for a while out of the crazy world, it’s a very good quiet spot.
I stayed 3 nights in this fantastic location. The place is simply beautiful and a great place to relax. I was really well looked after by Lorena, Gustavo and Dalila who are all very charming and kind. The food was delicious and lots of it. I hope to go back one day.
It is remote and the road is challenging but that is all part of the adventure. It was the cheapest and best place I stayed during my stay in Costa Rica.
Decoration and layout of hotel. Beautiful wooden carvings in doors, interesting stone sculptures throughout. Hotel right on the shore with a gorgeous view across the Golfo. Management very friendly and accommodating. Room kept very clean every day. Our room had a wonderful wide verandah looking over little pool and to sea beyond. Close to trees with great bird life, including macaws.
It’s a really beautiful hostel, it has a lovely shared kitchen area and beautiful gardens surrounding the whole hotel where nature comes to you! During our stay we saw many different types of birds including macaws as well as a sloth. Also the room comes with aircon which is an absolute must in the Osa peninsula. They also have drinkable water on site.
the architecture was gorgeous. they left bits of jungle sprinkled in to keep as much natural landscape as possible and the wood finish is beautiful. best gym I’ve ever seen at a hotel for sure. my room was a full apartment with patio and I really felt like it could be home away from home. I had everything I needed there and the staff was like family.
Wonderful hotel, clean large room with air conditioning, comfortable bed and excellent cooked breakfast included at the soda around the corner. Wifi was very strong, communal kitchen available and towels were soft! Great value in Puerto Jimenez
Good location, clean rooms, great price. Best of all they were so helpful when I needed an early check in, taxi, bike rental, and left my guitar on the bus they helped me get it back from the driver. Best place in Puerto Jimenez
Cheap stay. Good location, you can walk all of Puerto Jimenez in 5-15 minutes. Two minute walk from airport. 10 minute walk from bus station, supermarket, ATM and beach. WiFi was good in the lobby area but not in the room.
Close to the beach has a restaurant inside the hotel. Many employees who do their best to make the resort still taken care of. The staff accommodated my request to change the room because there is no network and no WiFi.
Lovely family run hotel. They have been wonderful in taking care of everything for us to enjoy our trip to Corcovado. Breakfast, secure parking, secure luggage store. Wonderful stay at Hoja de Oro PJ. Highly recommended
All in all, a highly recommended hotel. The price/performance ratio is absolutely right and the hotel staff is extremely friendly and interested in ensuring that their guests are satisfied. Thank you for the good time
The hotel is located a bit outside of the town, roughly 20 min walk. You can hear the howler monkeys for a wake up call. We were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel also offers bicycles for free to get around.
We are traveling to Costa Rica quite often and this resort in the jungle is very unique, animals come to you everywhere, food is perfect, nobody disturbs you there.
