I was working while my family enjoyed the hotel. It was convenient to have a restaurant on site and 2 pools. I was disappointed that the playground was removed though.

Spectacular views and friendly staff
The villas were large and spacious
Food in the restaurant and breakfast was fantastic and reasonably priced
The receptionist could not have been more friendly and helpful and she booked all of our excursions for us.
The animal sanctuary next door is well worth a visit and is a great charity to support.

Although I loved Pacific Edge Eco Lodge and would definitely return, I found the little town of Dominical a bit off-putting. Seemed to be filled with aging gringos with no particular layout or planning. The beach was gorgeous though.
Also, we visited Naucaya Waterfall, several miles from Dominical which was fabulous.

Beautiful laid-back area with lots of things to do within an easy drive. Great beach area and a charming little town with lots of great places to shop and dine. We especially loved waffle fries at Fuego Brewing Company (and the cute treetop vibe), tacos at Hotel Rio Del Lindo, and homemade empanadas at Mama Toucans Natural Foods Store.

Dominical is like Ubud or Goa in the 90s- a chilled yoga/surf town. Hippie yoga pants and hammocks are on sale in the shops; Mama toucans sells pretty much everything from vegan food, chocolate and cosmetics. The food here is phenomenal: Phat noodle is excellent, Fuego brews its own beer from passion fruit to a blonde lager and has an excellent menu, the Pescado loco is a small menu but omg the fish taco was sublime. The restaurants are laid back but are really world class food stops. Very close to nauyaca waterfall, the reptile Centre, Alturas and Uvita & whale tail. But the best part is the excellent yoga on offer at Danyasa, which has the most beautiful yoga shala I have ever been in. Rockstar yoga is also great- fab teachers & a lovely space. I loved this place. Super friendly - feels v safe for a female traveler. Quite a few long term residents & off-griders here

If you love surfing, quiet beach town vibes.
If you love surfing, quiet beach town vibes. This is your place. We surfed every day. It’s beautiful. Some great restaurants around too like the Thai place. We did yoga in the yoga place up the road too. And there’s an organic market ‘mama toucan’ where we got some yummmy food as I’m Gluten Free and dairy free and there was lots of options for me

We loved the beach and there were lots of places to get a variety of food and drink. We loved the pineapple juice from the beach bar and also the milk shakes and frappe from the ice cream place just as you turn into Dominical from the main road. There was a lovely walk along the river road too.
I absolutely adored the space. I felt safe as a solo traveller and beyond welcome. I met tons of great humans. The vibe is a vibe. If you have visited you know. In my 2 week stay in Costa Rica I was at this hotel 3 times in between retreats. The location is a short walk to the beach, a restaurant steps away and incredible owners on site. You truly have everything you need.
I will be visiting again soon. This is a perfect home base as you travel around.
Very pleased with our stay, Breakfast was impressive. Fresh fruits, eggs, breakfast meats, cereal, yogurt, etc. True relaxation is sipping a morning coffee in the lounge area with a book in my lap. Location is awesome, just steps to the beach. I think the highlight was the customer service and the employees of the hotel who made us feel so welcomed during our visit. Shout out to DJ Eneri, "Soy Selva"!!
Great place to stay in Dominical. Nicely decorated and clean room, beautiful tropical garden with hammocks and communal area, a 1-minute-walk to the beach and a good breakfast place on the other side of the road. Amy, the owner, is very caring and helpful. Clear and easy communication and she put a lot of effort in helping me out with a transport problem. Just gives that little bit extra to your stay :)
This is a great place to stay in Dominical. The location is central and 5 minutes from the beach, but the hotel is tucked away in its own private garden - an oasis away from the heat and street action.
Everything about this property was great - clean room, comfy bed, welcoming common area and friendly staff.
Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family.
I loved so many things about it! I am traveling solo and I stayed here once before because it has a beautiful ocean view, you can hear the waves crashing on the beach, its private, its not to hard to get to, its very modern with everything you might need from your home a way from home. The hosts are lovely and attentive and very hospitable but not intrusive.
The view from the lodge is nothing short of stunning and the property is gorgeous. It's also conveniently situated within a short distance from several beautiful (and empty) beaches. Sid and Michaelynn are fantastic hosts: warm, friendly, and hospitable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious - well worth the extra fee. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed the pools, the houses were nicely spread out, breakfast was good (not amazing), personnel was friendly . It was a good deal for the money and a beautiful location, even though a really bumpy road lead to the hotel itself. I enjoyed Dominical and it’s little shops and restaurants. Pool is nicely lit at night.
It was beautiful. Cozy. The pool was great and the kids spent all their time in when we were not at the beach. It’s is big enough and not too small. Close to everything and able to walk. Food was really good and met the needs of my picky eaters.
Excellent location. the view fro the deck of each villa is amazing. Comfortable villas with everything you need. the staff was always available and ready to help. location is perfect as it takes 10min drive to both Uvita and Dominical.
The grounds are lovely with lots of plants and a great pool area. The rooms are quite small, but have a lovely private patio area. We really loved staying in dominical and next to the river. Very cool vibe and beaches around here
We loved the owners, Bettina & Roman. We loved the forest surrounding their property, a welcome cjange from the beaches we had stayed at before. The breakfast was fantastic with homemade rolls, butter and jam. We'll be back!
The staff were friendly and helpful when we needed help ordering taxis. The pool area is lovely. We didn't go in as only stayed one night, but looked very nice. Location is great, short walk to beach and bars/restaurants.
loved the location- opposite the beach with parking in between. The beach has awesome sunsets! Staff lovely. Really cool vibe at the hotel and Dominical. Fresh fruit breakfast which was v good
Location was great with easy access to the beach and town. Info about local activities was great. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Super clean and enjoyable place to relax.
Good location in Dominical. The staff is friendly and helped us park our car. Value is good, it's a cheap hotel and the facilities looked new, it seems to be a new building.
Steps from the beach, everything was very clean. The kitchen was spacious. The staff was accommodating and so friendly. Loved the pool and outdoor shower.
