The place is amazing in pristine rainforest and surrounded by nothing but nature. There is many trails maintained by the owner to make sure you can explore the rainforest.
The drive to the place needs a 4wd but is also a great opportunity to spot wildlife (toucans, macaws, monkeys, etc...)

We loved, loved, loved the location. It was paradise. We loved the calm bay and the set up of the villas. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed the feeling of having the place to ourselves. We loved the staff. They were all very professional, polite, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the kayaks and the beach dinner. It was truly different and amazing all the effort they went to make it a one-of-a-kind stay.

*This amazing place in the jungle filled with birds, sloths, monkeys, wildlife. So much so that I even skipped touring Corcovado altogether as I felt I had my own “national forest” in these 4 acres of wonder. Consider this. You can escape the crowds & paying admission price to a park! :)
*The small wonderful family who owns/runs this place. As a single female traveler, I was so appreciative to know I was in such good hands… from travel instructions getting from Manuel Antonio to there, to leaving for the border to Panama. Nothing was too much to ask. They arranged taxi’s, boat ferry’s, etc. After 4+ months of travel and having hit a “concrete wall” this was HUGE for me. A blessing.
*The bungalow. Private and perfect. Hand painted murals and nice touches. They thought of everything. I was staying on for a week, and by night three I was asked to for them to come clean my room.
*I always felt safe. If I ever would go to the kitchen to make tea at night, the security guard would always be there to check on things, to turn on the light. I’m not sure where he slept at night but always to my surprise, he’d always be there without fail.
*They even arranged a massage for me. The masseuse was good, although I was disappointed that instead of an hour, she shorted me to 50 minutes, but this wasn’t any fault of the hostel. Go treat yourself, just make sure to have a watch nearby and keep a track of time. She really was good. This is no reflection on the owners, in fact they said they’d talk with the masseuse but I asked to please don’t. Again, they wanted to make sure their guest was well taken care of in any plausible way. I really appreciated that.
Thank you Andrew, Jackie and Andrew Jr for your hospitality and for the amazing stay. A top favorite in the dozens of places I stayed at since December. You guys run a well-oiled ship. Much respect, much appreciation. I wish you continued success in the years to come.

I stayed 3 nights in this fantastic location. The place is simply beautiful and a great place to relax. I was really well looked after by Lorena, Gustavo and Dalila who are all very charming and kind. The food was delicious and lots of it. I hope to go back one day.
It is remote and the road is challenging but that is all part of the adventure. It was the cheapest and best place I stayed during my stay in Costa Rica.

The nature and exploration available from PJ as a takeoff point was amazing. Books tours early, or you may not secure a space, take himing boots and shorts and waterproof raingear just in case, and be prepared to rough it a little.

Anne, at reception, was friendly and welcoming and always addressed me by name, as if she'd known me forever! That impressed me!
I loved the tropical decor, the ambiance and laid back vibe here. Loved meeting other guests in the common areas, from all over the world. Loved having the outdoor kitchen, and BBQ to cook in.

We did a daytrip to Corcovado Nationalpark.
We did a daytrip to Corcovado Nationalpark. The Tour was organized by Osa Wild (a local organisation).
The Guide was very good and we saw lots of exotic animals during the Day. Corcovado and Osa Peninsula are very wild and untamed in relation to some more touristic places in Costa Rica. Puerto Jiménez isn‘t that special, but it‘s a good place to start Tours to Corcovado.

A quiet, unspoilt small harbour town.
A quiet, unspoilt small harbour town. Los Delphines was a great place to eat, chill and watch the wildlife. Watch out for caimans! Jaguar is a lovely little gift shop selling delicious drinks and ice creams. Night kayaking to see the bioluminescence was fantastic.
We had a wonderful stay at Anluka House. Giselle was very warm, kind, and welcoming. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. It had a refrigerator, washing machine, and a burner to cook (with all utensils and plates). It was very close to places we needed to go in Puerto Jimenez (bus depot, supermarket, tour offices, etc). There was a very friendly hummingbird outside on the bushes right by the room. We hope to stay with Giselle again soon! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
the hotel doesn't exist. no sign, no lights outside, dark building, no people, no reception. I was met by a drunk guy he has opened the building for me and offered to wait for the owner inside. I was scared the situation was like a crime scene. I run away.
Booking.com sent me automated message that the charge was made and they won't return the money. Will never use this sammers site again. Will dispute the charge.
don't book this hotel it doesn't exist.
the architecture was gorgeous. they left bits of jungle sprinkled in to keep as much natural landscape as possible and the wood finish is beautiful. best gym I’ve ever seen at a hotel for sure. my room was a full apartment with patio and I really felt like it could be home away from home. I had everything I needed there and the staff was like family.
Off season prices are low for Costa Rica and what you get - clean room, a/c, private bath, wifi.
The place is super beautiful, large nice communal area with kitchen. Staff is very nice and helpful, they care a lot of the place. They offer tours and tour guides, I would suggesting comparing prices with other places around town :)
The hotel is located just in the center of Puerto Jimenez and walking distance to all main attractions. It has a shared kitchen with many appliances. The stuff was really friendly and accommodative, they kept your bags while we were traveling to Corcovado national park.
Super helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable beds and airconditioned room. Free kayak rental to check out the nearby mangroves. Bikes were also available but we didn't use them... Very recommendable accommodation if you're in Puerto Jimenez. ;)
Very nice and comfy house, decorated with style and even with a semi-automatic washing machine and dryer, which was a blessing after 3 days in Corcovado. Close to the centre of Puerto Jimenez. Drinking coffee in the balcony was great.
This house is a dream. You wake up and face the jungle You go take thé breakfast or your aperitivo in the little coverered terrace outside and enjoy the sounds of the birds
Perfect fly located and near the the Puerto Jimenez center
All in all, a highly recommended hotel. The price/performance ratio is absolutely right and the hotel staff is extremely friendly and interested in ensuring that their guests are satisfied. Thank you for the good time
The hotel is located a bit outside of the town, roughly 20 min walk. You can hear the howler monkeys for a wake up call. We were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel also offers bicycles for free to get around.
Excellent location, near shops, restaurants and the two bus stations in Puerto Jimenez. Very friendly, helpful owner. Family room ideally suited for a family of four. Very clean. Good A/C.
We are traveling to Costa Rica quite often and this resort in the jungle is very unique, animals come to you everywhere, food is perfect, nobody disturbs you there.
Nice hotel by the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. They organized an amazing dolphin-watching boat trip.
Possibility to borrow bikes and kayaks for free.
Very nice location in the middle of the jungle and close to puerto jimenez. The staff is very lovely, kind and helpful. Food at the restaurant is very tasty.
