Our family really enjoyed our stay at Villa Jacquelina and would definitely stay there again. We had room with three beds and a private bathroom that worked our very well for our family of 4. The room was very clean.
We really loved the outdoor terrace area near the common kitchen (the breakfast was the best out of 5 hotels that we stayed at in Costa Rica) and found everyone to be super hospitable. The pool was cute and our favorite part was the breath breath work and yoga classes that took place on the terrace.

About the only thing we liked about the place was it’s location in a residential area, where it was fairly quiet and we could see how the locals lived.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Quepos this weekend is $131 or, for a 4-star hotel, $282. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Quepos for this weekend cost around $156 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.
The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers!
Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!
This was our second stay at this apartment hotel. It is exceptional value in Quepos town. The area and room are very quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped. plus they also have salt an oil available for cooking. They bathroom has a lovely shower with hot water. Bed is very comfortable. The room is cleaned every day. The apartment is a quick walk to Pali, grocery store and also to the bus station. The staff are very kind and helpful. We liked it so much we stayed here twice.
I was one of the first guests at this newly refurbished hotel. Stephan and his team were very helpful at check in with a tour of the beautiful property. The room was large, nicely furnished and clean. The hot tub is spectacular and is a nice community space that allowed me to get to know some of the other guests that weekend. Stephan is a Chef and the breakfast buffet was amazing. He also offered to prepare items that weren't on the buffet upon request.
This place was the best stay we had during our whole trip (we where on a budget though). Really enjoyed the pool area and the friendly atmosphere. Nice common area with kitchen and everything you would expect. Hammocks places to hang and dry your stuff. Nice upstairs area to chill or do yoga. Felt super safe and the staff was really helpful and caring. The marina area had a really nice flair and the boardwalk is perfect to enjoy the sunset in Quepos.
It was our best hostel in Costa Rica. Pamela and Jorge are one of the best hosts we have ever experienced. At our arrival, Jorge picked us up at the busterminal and showed us nice spots in quepos + our first sloth. He also helped us to plan our activities. Breakfast is perfect, we had the chose between a traditional (gallo pinto) and a classic one (fruits eggs and toast). All in all - the best, cleanest, nicest hostel we have experienced in CR.
The place is absulettly amazing and above our expectation!
It is completly new, and designed with every small detail.
Above and beyond any other accomodations that we had in Costa Rica, and with a reasonable price.
The communication was excellent with immediate response, even that we arrived later than expected.
The property has a private parking and a huge garden that belongs to it.
The place is quiet and private.
Great place in the middle of nature. We can always watch monkeys from our balcony and there's 2 hammocks which is perfect for a couple. There are 2 other rental properties in the compound but we felt privacy as our balcony was opposite the others and facing just nature.
Kitchen is equipped enough for simple meals. The swimming pool is nice to have is the Costa Rican heat.
Owners are very kind.
The gardens are gorgeous. Loved that behind the hotel there is a big forest with zipline and you can see many monkeys
the bungalow was in very good shape, and beds very comfortable, the house have everything you need.
The setting and the pool is very beautiful , there are many butterflies in the garden, great to walk through. Very well maintained.
Location was wonderful, right on the beach
It was a rustic immersive experience with basic rooms but all the better for it
Miguel gave us a fabulous surf lesson
The dogs were adorable and Miguel was charming, chatty and really passionate about being self sustainable
Plenty of hot water in the outdoor shower
THE beach hotel in the Manuel Antonio area. Special sunbeams and umbrellas dedicated to the hotel guests only (and free). Truly enjoyed the beach life.
Rooms and open-air restaurant with direct access to the beach.
Lots of animals on the beach, hence no need to go to the national park ;)
Lovely accomodation close to Quepos and Manuel antonio. The price is very reasonable
The pool and gardens are beautiful. The kitchen is well equiped. The host's Mother came to greet us and she was the nicest person we met in costa rica ! Loved our stay here would highly recommend
On the beach. Got to visit turtle conservation program nearby and was able to participate in turtle release. Surf lessons available. Near Manuel Antonio National Park. Miguel is super friendly. He makes his own furniture so there’s this special feel of a very simple life.
Amazing hotel! Each lodge is amazing and the view is just breathtaking. We were sitting on our balconies for hours enjoying the view. The staff was extremely friendly and the typical Costa Rican meals were also much better than on overage and still not expensive at all!
- really lovely hostel set out by itself in nature
- very comfortable room
- lovely two kitchens with amazing views
- hang out areas are really great. the best we’ve seen in Costa Rica so far!
- very friendly and helpful staff
Very nice house, and the host was extremely nice and accomoding. We had access to the kitchen which was great, and a private parking. Great place for a stop in Quepos !
The jungle nearby was amazing. Capuchin monkeys were jumping over our heads. Humming birds, butterflies and iguanas in the garden and hotel premises were gorgeous.
