Ain sokhna is a 60 minute drive from Cairo on a very well-appointed highway. Its the best option for day trips. There is not any nightlife to speak of, but as a family-centric chill vacation, it cant be beat.

Great stay! The room was a good size with nice decor.
Great stay! The room was a good size with nice decor. In fact the whole place was nice and modern. We had breakfast and dinner included in the price and must say it was worth it. The hotel is just a short walk to a very nice private beach where there are other facilities such as a bar and washrooms. We had a room with a wonderful ocean view. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Sokhna is a perfect spot for short stay, as it's so close to Cairo, the weather is so warm and sunny in winter which make it perfect for this time of the year! The sea is safe, the water is clear and the weather is good and there's variety of hotels. The only problem that there's still some maintenance on the road. Overall love it and had a great trip :)

We stayed at Movenpik hotel for 3 days and the beach resort...
We stayed at Movenpik hotel for 3 days and the beach resort was just what we needed to rest after a busy tour of Egypt. Very relaxed atmosphere and great weather. No noise and pressure like the tourist areas of Egypt. Prices are listed and reasonable. No one harassing you every 2 secs like in the other areas we went before on our organized tour. It was also very quiet with few guests at the resort we were at. You can enjoy the Red Sea, swim and other water sports. Everyone we met (resort staff and guests) were so friendly. It is about a 2hr drive from Cairo and cost about $50 to get transfer to hotel. Hotel prices were good value for money in my opinion. Great way to relax before heading back to reality of work and daily life.
The Jaz Little Venice is a great place to stay with a great staff. Since Ain Suchna doesn't have an airport and other areas in Egypt are more famous, this is the place where you can relax without too many people round. The main pool of the three pools is heated. At the beach (the hotel will drive you there by a golf car) there were almost no people besides the ones of the beach bar from the hotel. This hotel / place is perfect for couples who want to spend some really quiet days in a fantasy-type surrounding. I can really recommend it.
The hotel is perfect for family, kids and friends
Staff are so polite and friendly
The open buffet had huge varieties including seafood
They had an excellent program at night starting with a movie for kids and they offer free popcorn
Then fire show and stuff like that
The aqua park is nice
The pool is so spacious
They have indoors pool and 2 hours for women only
The beach is nice as well so there are some rocks but they have walks that you can use to bypass this although the rocks are not that big
The breakfast offered a delightful combination of Egyptian oriental style and Western pastries.
The dinner selections were enjoyable, with a refreshing variety of fish, chicken, and meat dishes each day.
The beachfront location of the hotel was a significant plus, boasting clear sand and clear waters with gentle waves.
The presence of three swimming pools suitable for all ages added to the overall appeal of the stay.
Staff were really friendly. The room was comfortable and the air conditioner had heater option (up to 30 Celsius) which was nice as the weather was a bit cold outside in Christmas. With half board, breakfast and dinner were really tasty with variety of options. Good location right infront of the sea and very close to Porto Sokhna and the rooms with sea side view had a nice view to the sea.
This is the best hotel that we have stayed in in Egypt. We will definitely be back. It’s just so nice to find somewhere that welcomes Egyptians and Europeans equally and sill allows us to buy beer. It’s a little expensive but you get what you pay for.
It is laid out so it’s not too busy in any area even though the hotel is quite full. Food is delicious and staff are attentive.
I had a wonderful stay at Al-Masa Hotel in Ain Sokhna! The staff's attentiveness and kindness really added to my experience.
Rooms were impeccably clean as well.
The hotel's location being just an hour and a half away from Cairo is also convenient, giving me a perfect balance between relaxation and accessibility. I had a truly enjoyable time there.
horrible cleaning and fish smell everywhere from previous residence and found one chalet not ready and just started cleaning 2:00 PM while check in 12:00 PM
furniture too old and have dirty spots
prices paid in USD by owner request so 12% extra charge from Egyptian bank that one night reach 4000 EGP , higher than hotels
The rooms are spacious enough. The aqua park is very good and fun for kids. A lot of pools and activities for kids of all ages. The main swimming pool is nice and clean. The hotel staff is polite and helpful.
the view and the hotel location are outstanding, but the breakfast was poor and no varieties.. dinner down at porto beach and spa hotel was great and i loved the animation team and their shows at dinner time.
Great value for money
Super clean rooms
Wonderful sea view
Clean beach (rocky but very clear water)
Reasonable restaurant prices for food and beverages
Inplace supermarket
Only 20 mins away from Porto
Beautifully clean hotel with large rooms, lovely pools, wonderful terrace. Staff very friendly and helpful. A short buggy ride to the beach, which is very easy to arrange and the beach is beautiful.
The hotel location is great and clean , Landscape is soo amazing with pool and beach arrangements and staff.
the resturant staff are so amazing welcoming and supportive , food is great and tasty
Staff was nice and helpful. the selection of pools is good. a good opportunity to snorkel on the hotel beach. We really enjoyed the food each night and were never disappointed.
Staff was great and the hotel was OK. Some concerns about cleanness but this issue is to Egypt in general. Food OK and rooms was comfortable for this price.
