Great stay! It's in a good location just down from the cruise ships and next to a mall. Major kudos to Salaah! He checked us in, helped us get situated and walked with us to the mall to help us find a special request dinner. I mean he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. He was AWESOME!

The resort is very beautiful and peaceful environment away from the city and noise. The views in the morning during sunshine are amazing and probably best you will see in Aswan. The attention to detail of the architecture is incredible and all share a story. We liked to read about all the different room names and their history. So you do learn a lot as well if that's what you are interested in. The infinity pool is amazing you feel you are on the edge of a cliff. Although it was a bit cold. But very relaxing after a long day tour. The food was the best we eat in Egypt as it is made very traditional by local Nubian people. The staff were very friendly and made you feel at home. We felt very welcoming the moment we arrived until we left.

To tell you the truth I came here a year ago and I pretty much never gone back. I keep coming back. The cost of living in Egypt is so much better than America. and the food is a million times better. the people are real they just want to be happy . And they're never is a problem really it's just a different type of life and they're happy to share that with you and that's something I want more of for myself and them. Unlike Cairo, Aswan is much slower paced and people are much nicer. The city has several historical sites, temples, and islands. The views and food are amazing. I’m skipping Cairo on my next trip to Egypt and coming straight to Aswan and Luxor.

Tombs of the Nobles were really neat if you can make it over to the other bank. Watch out for the camel guys there though. We got roped into $50 camel rides.
Aswan was probably our least favorite stop in Egypt. Harassment by salespeople was higher here than at the Great Pyramids, and much higher than Luxor! We couldn't walk anywhere at anytime of the day without a salesperson walking with us for several blocks. And as soon as they were done, someone else would take over. Its too bad, I think the corniche could be a really pretty walk!

Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
I didn’t realize that the hotel was undergoing a little construction. It looked like they were upgrading their ramp. This meant we had to carry our bags up the stairs to the lobby.
The property is beautiful and has a terrific view of the town and we could see the Nile from our room. The restaurant was very good- we had dinner there.
BTW the construction noise never bothered us. We couldn’t hear it at all.
This is a special place. It is well designed to make the most of its incredible location at the top of sand dunes overlooking Aswan and the Nile.
The buildings are lovely, bright, and colourful inside and out.
My room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed for a three night stay. The bed was very comfy, and it had the best pillows.
The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. Nirvana, Hussein and Sara all helped to make my stay a memorable one.
The food here was the best I had on my travels through Egypt.
The staff is incredible! Every request is fulfilled with a smile and genuine warmth. Everyone was most helpful! Granted an early check-in as we had just completed a Nile River cruise and a Nile view upgrade. Breakfast was wonderful, with many choices from the buffet and an Omelette/egg station. Lunch was very good as well,
with grilled dishes actually grilled on an outdoor charcoal grill. A truly grand hotel from the past. Beautiful stonework throughout.
We’ve been in several hotels in Egyp (even 5 stars) but I think this is the place where we most enjoyed our stay. it is clean and very spacious. Beds are not the best in the world but are ok. The location is so good, since elefantina is a quiet and calm place. Ali (the manager) is such a good guy, he made us feel like at home. The rooftop is amazing and you can order food (I recommend the Camel Tajin) and drinks (beer too). breakfast is so good.
Best house of Egypte so far! The house is beautiful and confortable. The hosts are exceptional : generous, accomodating, of good advice, they make you feel welcome and share there culture with you. The host even make us a tour of his village ; it was actually the best moment of our stay in Aswan. Also, the food is delicious. I still think about the breakfast and dinner they made for us. I recommend it!!!! The longer your stay, the best it is!
This is smaller hotel is connected to the large luxury Basma hotel. We got an upgrade, so our room was really more like a small apartment with two bathrooms, kitchen, living room and garden terrace. It’s on a hill, so the views of the Nile and the city are spectacular. The staff is very friendly and professional. Communication through Booking was quick and easy. They booked our trip to Abu Simbel at 3:45 am and prepared our boxed breakfast.
the hotel is new and modern, it is really a hidden gem of Aswan with great price . the Nile view is absolutely stunning from your room . it is 4star facilities with 5star exceptional customer service
went beyond and above their responsibilities. manger Merna, staff Heny . all staff are amazing .Don’t hesitate just go for it and enjoy the trip with them . they will help you with everything that you needed for the trip .
Best stay in our two weeks in Egypt!
The person is very honest and he doesn't insist on anything. We even forget a jacket in a taxi from Aswan to Luxor and he managed everything to send it to our hotel in Luxor for FREE which is not so common in Egypt!
It s a tradionnal house, very peaceful, breakfeast is delicious. If you are looking for a real experience you go for it!
I must say Sofitel Legend in Aswan is one of the top hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff was so helpful and hospitable, I felt on numerous occasions they have went above and beyond. My room was so dreamy with the views of the Nile. The architecture, interior design, the staff, the views, the spa and the pool was PERFECT. I look forward to visiting again!!!
Best hotel in egypt so far, beautifil rooms, owner and staff are so kind and helpfull they will make you feel like home. Aswan is a beautiful city.
Breakfast is good, restaurant is good. Mostafa the captain of the boat is a very good man he will take of you and Ahmed also the manager is very kind and helpful. Thank you again for everything

Very neat and clean hotel

We checked in bit late and early check out
Reception was good and they provided us feee upgrade .
Thanks
Overall great location
They provided breakfast box for early morning Abu simbl trip
The hotel is located in the Elephantine Island. Just a 5 min walk from the public ferry. There is a separate private ferry stand just in front of it. It is a new hotel with excellent facilities. AC was working perfectly. Beds were comfortable. Mohammed helped us a lot in booking tours for us
Friendly workers care about your money, time, and meals. On the day we went on the Abu Simbel tour, they prepared a great breakfast box for us.
The breakfast served at the hotel was also excellent.
The rooms are clean, and the hotel's location is safer than the center of Aswan.
Having guest relations answering messages and fixing issues 24h is definitely 5 star service
Everybody in the hotel was very helpful throughout our stay and tried their best to make it special for us.
We definitely had a good time and can recommend
The location was so good at the west banks of Aswan and in the Nubian Village. The people were so good there so the manager in hotel. He was so frinedly and served us tasty dinner and overall the stay was memorable experience.
We loved Aswan and the Basma hotel. The view from the balcony was amazing! The hotel’s staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!
