We did the hot air balloon ride and it was AWESOME!!

We did the hot air balloon ride and it was AWESOME!! We had already done the tour of the different temples and those are also very interesting. The felucca ride, if you haven't done one is really relaxing and quiet. I would skip the Banana Island "zoo" unless you really want to pet a baby alligator or hold monkey. We used In-Drive to get taxis - especially useful from the airport, as the taxi drivers at the airport want to overcharge you 5 times the amount. We went to the mumification museum, which was small but still interesting. You only need about 30 minutes there.

Loved the hot air balloon ride (only take the sunrise trip), the Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings (the Valley of the Queens is similar, less grand, and can be skipped if you have less time). I also took a day trip to Dendera and Abydos to see the temples. Was great to see some rural Egypt along the way and beautiful desert scenery. The Hathos Temple in Dendera was perhaps the best of temples I saw in Egypt and very much worth it!

Overall a superb business+vacation style hotel experience with Egyptian twists for two nights. The reception staff made us feel welcome starting from the check-in, room was great with a balcony view overlooking the Nile, pool was clean and beautiful, room cleaning staff went the extra mile, common areas were modern and polished. While the on-site Lebanese restaurant and the Nile hookah bar were a lot of fun, a special Thank You goes to the Thai chef at the on-site Thai restaurant - her dishes were out of this world!

the location is very good, close to the Luxor Temple, the neighborhood is very local Egyptian, a good place the experience the local life. The flat is amazing and clean, beyond my expectations. The two bedrooms are very comfortable, there is a living room and another small room with sofa and TV. The internet connection is also strong and fast. And there is also a washing machine, microwave in the flat, quite convenient to live. The owner Oscar is very nice and helpful, gives good advice and speaks good English.

It is a very cozy and clean place to stay at ✨ The staff are incredible, very friendly and generous management and hospitality 🙏 The rooftop is cool to chill with friends and make new friends if you are traveling solo Unbeatable rate, the room has an AC, and even a small fridge and they provide a light Egyptian breakfast.. Not super near the touristy area so, you can easily walk to shops, restaurants and markets with the local prices.. I highly recommend while in Luxor east bank. Thank you Happy Land :)

Everything was good. The place was very nice clean and spacious. It's about 15 minutes outside the city, but the compound is situated right beside a nice market ( AL Rayah Market) and it has everything you would need to fix up a quick meal if need be. Our host was able to set us up on a hot air balloon ride and it was one of the most amazing experiences for our family here in Egypt. THANK YOU SO MUCH! We would encourage anyone to book the Sphinx Apartment for a nice little get away while in Luxor.

The best location to visit Luxor, at walkable distance from the Go-bus station and the railway station but in a very, very quite and silent place. The temple of Luxor is less than 100 meters away. The bathroom is as large as a living room, rooms are spacious and everything is very very clean. Beds have double sheets, which is not frequent in Egypt. Big living room with a kitchen. Water in the kitchen is filtered. And Mahmoud is very kind. If I come back to Luxor I will choose this place again.

Djorff Palace is 18 room boutique hotel on the West Bank , built owned and managed by Marina and Mohamed an English/Egyptian couple. Everyone who works there is extremely helpful, smiling and sincere. Each and every single room has character and no two rooms are the same. The gardens and swimming pool overlook the Nile and are surrounded by fields. It’s very calm and extremely laidback and relaxing. It is really one of the most charming places I’ve stayed at.

We liked everything! Super location, lovely views, birds on in the island were really cool. I cannot stress enough how far ahead of local competition this place is. Best sleep on our trip which involved 5 hotels. Room was brilliant. It’s not easy to achieve this quality in Egypt, which has had well documented problems relating to its tourism industry. We had a Superior Nile View and the room was excellent.
