I loved being in the University city with many young people.
I loved being in the University city with many young people. Because of that almost everybody speaks english (and even french in some cases) on top of their spanish language.<
The city offers a lot of different attractive sites and the view over the Sierra Nevada with the snow is very special.
Certainly a place to go.

So much to see and enjoy.
So much to see and enjoy. My one big suggestion is to book Alhambra entrance tickets at least a month or 2 in advance. The area around the hotel is rich with local historic sights, beautiful shops, tapas bars and tours. The outer areas are magnificent with a wealth of cultural history, magnificent Cathedral, Alhambra, the old city (Albaicin) and many other stunning sights. The hills overlooking the city are breath taking, take the On Off City Tour well worth the 10 Euros. One big disappointment was the amount of Graffiti that seems out of control and quite ugly.

Granada is a destination dominated by the Alhambra but the reality is that it has so much more to offer. It takes four days to do the sights justice with about 4-5 hours a day of visits. Staying in the centre offers a huge choice of places to eat, bars, shops of every variety, and a tremendous buzz everywhere. Everywhere is walkable but a degree of fitness is advisable - it's hilly and the streets are mostly cobbled. Worth doing good research before coming and definitely book the 0830 opening visit to the Alhambra months in advance. It's cool, the crowds haven't arrived yet and the experience is magical. Granada is right up there with Venice and Florence and is a must see.

A most amazing city with such incredible history, monuments, plazas, fountains, sculptures and public spaces, that it is a must place to see while in Spain. The Alhambra is a crown jewel and the reason most tourist visit here. But, there is much more to see and experience than just that, so stay a few more days and immerse a bit deeper to thoroughly enjoy this incredible area.

Great compact Historic City with plenty to see and do.
Great compact Historic City with plenty to see and do. Good rail links (we got the train From Malaga - 1.25 hours and only 2 other stops)
Lots of decent good value places to eat.
Alhambra was the highlight - you need to spend all day there - book in advance on line and get a time slot for the main Nasrid palace.

The history and culture are wonderful, visiting the Alhambra was a dream. One of our favourite moments came in a quiet plaza we stumbled across having a cold drink and people watching -- with excellent views across the countryside.
Set in a building from the 16th century, the hotel was absolutely beautiful. The decor was traditional and opulent but not over the top and very comfortable. I was impressed with little touches like the complimentary bottle of cava in my room, the helpfulness of the front desk staff (especially Alejandro, Fernando and Laura) and the complimentary happy hour served in the grand central courtyard. The location was also great: near everything but still tucked away. As an affordable three-star hotel, Hotel Casa 1800 Granada way overdelivers.
Awesome hotel that is gorgeous. Love the furnishings and the historic building. The beds are super comfy, the toiletries nice and plentiful. Nice patio area. I sound like a commercial, but the hotel is exceptional. We have been staying in Paradores prior to arriving in Granada, I must say the Palacete is a little nicer in the fact the rooms are more appealing with a more distinctive individual flair.
Our room is very quiet too which in Spain is an added bonus.
The location of this apartment is fantastic - very close to all amenities and attractions and yet also very quiet - no traffic noise at all. The apartment is immaculate and equipped to a very high standard. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and will definitely be returning. I have been visiting Granada every year for over a decade now, staying in various hotels and apartments and this is by far the best accommodation I have stayed in.
Beautiful 5 star hotel!. 39 rooms with impeccable service and attentive staff. Thanks to Irene, who arranged a private tour of the Alhambra for us. The hotel reached out to us right after we booked to make sure we had all our needs met. They even arranged for private limo service from the airport. Best hotel in Granada, highly recommended if you have the opportunity to stay there. The hotel smells so so good, you'll be in love!!
It was my best exprience to stay in a hotel during these years. The staff were friendly and sympathetic. The room was big even for three persons and with a extra bed. The room was clean and calm. The yard was besutiful and cute. The location was great near the main street and so close to historical sites of Granada. We even walked to the Alhambra and other sites. The bath was big enough and there was a hairdrayer.
I was lucky to have room 616 which had a large terrace table and umbrella. i was able to have my byo drinks and coffee there every morning before going to the hotels partner cafe for a typical spainish/granada breakfast. The hotel is close to everything Granada has to offer. Super quiet and clean and comfortable. Note there is no fridge or kettle etc as it is a typical basic but smart Spainish hotel.Loved it!
Great location, central to all the sights, easy access bus routes, close to Albaicin, good restaurants. Rooms were roomy, AC, double glazed, so no noise disruption. Bed was super comfy. Shower good. Breakfast fab, amazing breakfast area with lots of character. Reception really helpful and friendly and available 24hr. Really nice boutique hotel, there for 3 nights and had a perfect stop in Granada.
Maribel and the other guy at the reception were the best. She was very kind and very helpful and she went the extra mile to tell us where is nice to visit in Granada. She also recommended the very nice restaurant in the hotel which we used for breakfast during our stay. Maribel is a great valuable part of your team. She is one of the reasons to return to Granada! Thank you! We loved everything.
This place is a great value. A lot of room, a beautiful rooftop deck, comfortable beds, awesome location and Nespresso. Our friends who had a hotel at the same price were very jealous. Keep in mind that this is a very old building so it is not luxurious, but very functional. We would definitely stay here again and wish we could replicate this place for our other stays here in Spain.
Staff was amazing, so accommodating and understanding. Room was super comfy. I think if you were going to hang out at the hotel a lot more than we did, this is a great value — awesome views, great room and bed, nice location (if you are prepared to walk up hills). Very good flamenco and dive bars nearby when not heading to centro Granada.
Location is ideal, no long walks in the hot sun to reach the city centre. Parking and supermarket literally next door. Really outstanding, helpful and friendly staff. Quiet, clean, comfortable rooms, with possibly the best showers in Spain! If you're looking for a base to explore Granada, look no further.
It's perfect... from the communication to the ease of having everything clean and ready for our stay. Parking close by for pay. It's a charming and comfortable place with a great amount of space. Excellent response time by owner. Perfect for our first night on the first time in Spain.
This location is very pretty. We actually stayed in multiple Room Mate hotels as we traveled around Spain because of our experience with Room Mate Leo and Room Mate Alba. I would return to this hotel at any point in the future if it stays of this caliber.
The hotel is in an excellent position in the city center, overlooking a beautiful park and the cathedral.
The hotel staff is friendly and helpful in every situation.
The food in the hotel restaurant is the best thing we ate in Granada!
We recommend!
Great location in the historic quarter. Very near the best view of the Alhambra. Granada is very hilly, but they have a great mini-bus system that is inexpensive. There is a stop right out of the hotel door - so it couldn't be easier!
Amazing location, Joaquin was very nice and always available. So far m8y best place in Spain that I reserved, I invite all of you to stay in his beautiful place you will not be disappointed.
Beautiful boutique hotel right in front of the cathedral. Right in the heart of the city center. Rooms were airy, bright and big for Spain. The staff was magnificent. a great choice!
it was beautifully decorated, we felt we were in Spain. Also, the patio on the roof was awesome to simply sit and chill. The bed above the kitchen was also kid’s favorite.
