Tampere is super beautiful town between two big lakes.
Tampere is super beautiful town between two big lakes. There are culture destinations like museums, famous sport and entertainment hall NOKIA ARENA, amusement park Särkänniemi, for kids there are two indoor fun parks (Hop Lop and Leo Leikkimaa), bars, restaurants, two big shopping centers next to each other in the city center, carting car driving center, wonderful views and jogging places, for summer times Hatanpään arboretum (botanical garden), two big SPA's (Tampereen Kylpylä and Kylpylähotelli Nokian Eden) , downhill skiing center MUSTAVUORI, a few bowling centers with glow bowling and music... A lot of fun things to do!

Tampere is a modern yet quiet city in Finland.
Tampere is a modern yet quiet city in Finland. A lot of green, museums and activities. There is also a good offer of hotel and restaurants. The city is surrounded by great nature in every direction and a lake nearbye. I would advice this ton to families or to anybody who needs to recharge but prefers cities over the total wilderness. Personally, i hope to be back and continue exploring the region.

As an old Tampere resident I enjoyed to drop by, visit Kellariteatteri, eat well and enjoy a nice stay in a good hotel. We had lunch in the old market hall and dinner in our hotel's restaurant (Solo Hotel Torni) listening a good live artist.

We went to Tampere as a long time friend lives there and has a business, to be honest i don't see it as a tourist destination, apparently there are concerts and sporting events that draw people from other countries but not a place i would recommend as a typical city break
The apartment is located near a tram station. I am a visting scholar at Tampere University (original TUT), and the apartment is at the middle point between the city center and the TUT. Therefore, the traffic is convenient. The house appliances are sufficient for a comfortable life. In particular, there is an oven, which can enhance the comfortabilty a lot when you fry beef or shrimp in a rainy day. I will remember the forty days stay.
We had a nice room, average-sized, high up in the Torni tower with great views of the city. The decor was modern and colorful- a bit crazy. The location in the middle of the city across from the train station was great. The restaurant located in a restored 19th century brick steam engine repair building that looked much like a railroad roundhouse was very attractive. We enjoyed having a drink on the roof top bar.
Wonderful stay, close to the main station and the Nokia arena but still quiet at night - good place to explore the city during the day and at night. Beautiful style of the hotel and good breakfast including pancakes :) also, the staff was really friendly. If you arrive early, you can use a luggage store as well if you still have to wait for the check-in.
It looked and smelled very clean.
Compared to some higher ranked hotels in which you can still find mold in the bathroom, that one doesn't show any traces of it and it feels comfortable to take a shower in it. Also the shower head was really nice.
Small but simple and comfortable room.
Friendly and smily staff
Good and wide choice for breakfast
The staff was great. They helped me with all my needs. The breakfast was rich and plentiful. The area around the hotel was beautiful. Great places to walk. There is a bus in front of the hotel that takes you to town and the train station. The best part was the swimming pool in the basement. Very quiet and relaxing.
Central location, near Nokia arena and railway station. Easiest check-in ever: No staff & room key via email & SMS. Tidy and clean room, comfy beds. No breakfast, restaurant or room service but there was an empty minibar in the room for your own food&drinks. Electric kettle & intant coffee available the room.
Perfect lication for transit. Right next to the entral train station and also airport bus stop. So was ideal for us. The room and the bed were OK. Hotel has sauna, however, we did not have time to attend. As we were leaving during the night to catch early morning flight we received a breakfast for takeaway.
Breakfast was very good. Little bit tiny dining room but different alternatives was served to everyone, even glutenfree. Staff was helpful. Location was perfect. Room and hotel was silent enough. Parking hall was full so we needed to park our car elsewhere, car parking hall near the station.
Brand new, clean, nicely decorated, quiet studio with comfortable beds, a great shower and a fully equipped kitchen. Right in the heart of Tampere with the railway and bus stations nearby, as well. It wasn't an issue to arrive very late at night because we could get in using a key code.
The location was perfect! Easy walk to the Railway station, City Center, Nokia Areena, lots of shops and restaurants right downstairs. The apartment was nice, clean apart from some dust. We got good instructions to get the keys etc. For four people or less it's perfect.
The smallest details that would give you feeling you are in Lapland. The scented soups which takes you to the woods in the northern part of the country. Combining this with the rest of top notch quality of services, i think this is the place to stay in Finland.
My family and I reserved two rooms. The hotel is organized and comfortable. Clean, comfortable accommodations with a good view, and a full, healthy breakfast. The hotel has a pleasant lobby and helpful staff. Good location, next to Moomin museum.
New flat next to Nokia Arena - at downtown of Tampere. Clean & quiet flat with all necessities (e.g., fridge, laundry), suitable for longer stay not just for over-night. parking possibilities at train station or alongside the street
This hotel is old, not luxurious, but I like it. Very calm but near the bus station. The owner is very kind, the breakfast buffet is simple and nice, the sauna is good wide and you can rest outside.
Login system modern, you get a onetime login link and pin. Then at room you have the key. Rooms are made for living, not hotel living. Silent, so good sleep. Near train station.
Great location, within touching distance of the railway station and walking distance to central Tampere.
Friendly staff, modern bathroom, comfortable bed.
The location was excellent. Nearby hotels and coffee shops offer breakfast. Car park and even Railway Station are very close. Nicely equipped apartment.
