Nadi is a local town and not all tourists. There are many shops and you can usually find supplies for drinks, snacks, souvenirs, clothing, towels, bags, shoes etc etc
In addition to this there is a local cafe on the top floor of the mall building at the north end of the main street that has the best food in Fiji. Very un assuming but holy moly, best dosa I have eaten!
Craft market has pushy sellers. This is never unexpected though in this setting. Fruit market is quite an interesting walk.

Spent our time between the two Hiltons and rented a car to explore Fiji.
We were lucky with the weather and found everyone very polite and helpful.
Taxis were/are a good choice and make sure you ask someone what the cost should be as I was able to reduce the cost by half by knowing what the suggested rate was vs what they asked, it only happened once as the other drivers were all very realistic.
Having a kitchen in one of our rooms was helpful and allowed us to set our own schedule to match our times and cost.

Nadi should only be considered as a transit stop or somewhere where you might stay for a day or two before going to other parts of Fiji. If you don't want to go far from Nadi then consider a stay at Denerau which is 20 minutes away and a has a marina for access to the islands and outdoor activities. Denerau is more of a resort location.

Don't stay at this place.
Don't stay at this place. Took my jewelry while going to swimming pool. Checked out next morning to go to another destination and realized my jewelry was missing. My bad but at the same wasn't expected that. No lockers in the rooms. No privacy. You simply get what you pay for. Did make a phone call but still waiting for a call back and it's more than 2 months

We were there for a week.
We were there for a week. Hired a car to go around Fiji main island. One -two days are good enough for Nadi. Suva and Lautoka are the main two big cities in Fiji. Both the cities are well connected to Nadi with AC buses. Lautoka is an hour away. It takes 3-3.5 hours to reach Suva.
In Suva one must visit Fiji Museum and President's Palace guard. Nice waterfront to spend an evening.
Rakiraki has a few nice resorts. Most of them offer great water activities.
All islands are well connected with Nadi via ferry and flight. Prior booking is highly recommended.
The hotel is beautiful - nice lobby, beautiful grounds, great rooms with comfy beds, AC, nice bathroom amenities. It was super clean, and the pool is great (especially the slide!).
Location is very close to the airport, which was very convenient for us to drop our visiting friends off for their flight, and they also provide a shuttle service if needed.
Staff are super friendly and pleasant, as one would expect in Fiji!
We will definitely stay again (but will eat outside the hotel) next time we are taking a flight.
We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. The apartment was spacious and meticulously clean. The host even provided a basket of fruit for our arrival! They were extremely quick to respond to messages. They did everything they could to ensure we had a great stay. Our children enjoyed the pool and swam in it every day. The view from the apartment had some amazing sunsets! We would 100% recommend staying here. My daughter said if we go back to Fiji, she specifically requested we stay in this apartment again.
Very friendly staff. 2 min walk to swim in the warm, flat sea (beach was a little more muddy than sandy). Little restaurant/bars by the sea. I had a private room (bunk beds) with a sink. The dorms were big, airy, had no bunk beds but also no privacy and nowhere to put your stuff. No lounge to hang out in but some sitting space in reception and a couple of picnic tables outdoors (plus a hammock). The neighborhood is safe, not close to town, more and more small-ish hotels being built in the area. Good value for money.
It wasn’t quite what we imagined when we booked but that’s hardly the hotels fault. The beds were comfy, it’s right on the beach (the beach isn’t a white sand beach like you think Fiji has!) the kids pool and play area was great. The kitchen was well appointed with full sized fridge and we used the tumble dryer lots on the towels! Loved the balcony looking over the ocean.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff though. So amazingly friendly and helpful!
One of the highlights of my experience was the rooftop bar. The panoramic views of the surrounding area was great, especially during sunset. The attentive staff made sure that I had everything I needed. In terms of location, Nalagi Hotel is conveniently located close to Nadi Town and a short distance from the Airport. There is a seafood reastauarant downstairs ( i cant tell if its part of the hotel or not), but the food there was excellent.
If I can visit a hotel again then it's fair to say it was decent. I'd visit DT again!
Not sure if post-covid meant the hotel was still finding its feet but as Fijians are known for being hospitable for nothing so it was lovely to see a decimated hospitality industry managed to survive, I hope the outside
The boat that takes guests to the hotel and to the mainland is super convenient. Parking your car on the mainland is very safe.
Not much, we booked for a night in between flights and booked on location and price (although still expensive hotel - like all hotels in Fiji). Arrived in morning and staff were asleep on matress in reception room - had to wake them up to check in. Hotel very run down and we thought had closed but seemed to be operational but seemed more as a short-term stay with hourly rates - can only imagine the reason why.
We only stayed for a night at this hotel and we wish we stayed longer. The entertainment was amazing, we got to see fire dance and some traditional along with modern Fijian dances. It was a blast! The staff was very welcoming and did everything to make us feel comfortable. The room was clean and had all the necessities. Prices for the drinks were very reasonable. We’d love to come back! Thanks.
The price for the room itself was good, cheaper than other hotels in the area. We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our holiday, so it was perfect for us. The hotel also has different activities every evening, on our last night they had a Polynesian themed night with fire dancers, great way to end the holiday.
It far exceeded our expectations for an ‘airport hotel.’ It captured the Fijian holiday vibe perfectly and staff interactions were amazing. It was a relaxing place to stay and we chose to break up the travel with young kids due to a late flight and we are so glad that we did. The rooms were very comfortable.
pool is clean love the set up also I stayed a night in hotel before living Fiji three weeks ago & booked my return I didn’t like the service & set up of room so changed to ur hotel as I stayed before ♥️ it .Plus near by all shopping & restaurant plus good think also can drink don’t have to drive .Thank u
Location on the beach. (But it also means out of Nadi town, which is accessible only with 1+hr walk, or by hardly negotiable hotel taxis.)
All facilities are there.
Awesome kokoda, sometimes for brunch, always for dinner.
Pools super nice to chill at, staff will make you feel like your at home home. I keep coming to this hostel after traveling different parts of Fiji honestly the best place in nadi (maybe Fiji) biggest backpackers vibes
It is a great value hotel. We have stayed there every time we have come to Fiji as it’s a quality affordable stopover to and from the islands, with easy access to a supermarket prior to heading to Denarau.
The people here are AMAZING. From checking in to checking out. They really do define the saying "Fijians are the friendliest people in the world". Vinaka to the staff. Thank you so so much.
Wonderfully Fijian. Babakau was great. Simple breakfast, but pineapple pie was outstanding. Fresh fruit, babakau, toast, juice and instant teas and coffees.
