FAQs about hotels in Strasbourg

Crossroads of European Culture

Situated on the banks of the River Rhine, Strasbourg is the capital of the Alsace region of France. The medieval city centre, Grande Île, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and houses the glorious sandstone Strasbourg Cathedral and picturesque timber-framed buildings.

The Cathedral of Our Lady is the tallest medieval building in Europe and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture. It features a remarkable façade, one of the largest astronomical clocks in the world, stunning stained glass windows, and a terrace with panoramic city views.

Enjoy a pleasant walk in the medieval streets of the old town, or visit the charming Petite-France district. Here are some of the range of Strasbourg restaurants serving Alsatian specialities like beef and pork stew with potatoes and carrots, accompanied by local beer and regional white wine.

At the crossroads of European culture, cosmopolitan Strasbourg is home to numerous international organisations including the European Parliament, as well as one of the oldest European universities.

Strasbourg International Airport is easily reached from other international airports, so book your hotel, apartment or bed and breakfast through Booking.com and experience an unforgettable stay.

The history of the city of Strasbourg was never ending! The old buildings, the beautiful views as well as the very helpful and friendly shop owners and citizens ensures that we will return to Strasbourg. Strasbourg is a lovely city any time of the year.

Strasbourg is a lovely city any time of the year. I am not a big fan of Christmas markets, but the one in Strasbourg is one of the oldest ones in Europe. The city is not too big, it is worth walking around, having a coffee or lunch on one of the terraces in Petite France or taking a boat trip on the canals. The tower of the cathedral gives an amazing view of the city.

I have fallen in love with this city but the best part is where I'm from people barely know about it and when I'm showing them the pictures they are in shock! :> I was getting there right after day in Venice, here are some comparisons: Strasbourg and Venice have great cuisine. Both cities can be called City of bridges - Strasburg have river ILL through the centre of the city and Rhine by side Venice smells (dump water) but Strasbourg is not. Venice buildings are falling apart, but Strasbourg are not. Strasbourg have very friendly people, Venice.. depends. I will definitely go back to Strasbourg.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was very cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was very rich, it had great coffee, fresh fruits and fresh baked bread. You also can walk around the premises of the hotel which is just stunning. It's quiet and in the middle of nature. I would recommend to go by car since it's a bit outside of the city center of Strasbourg, you have great parking opportunity at the hotel itself. We had a great experience over all and are looking forward to come again.

The personnel is extremely nice and helpful. A good quality breakfast with a focus on reducing food waste. Within the same token, free second-hand books available in the corridors. Entertainment for kids is also provided for, e.g. table football. Clean and bright interior. The hotel is conveniently located near tram B (connection to city centre) and within walking distance of Petite France and the train station. There's a security code to enter the building boosting the feeling of safety.

This is the perfect hotel to stay in for a weekend getaway in Strasbourg. The location is perfect - so close to public transport and right in the Petite France area with heaps of cafes and restaurants and literally steps from the impressive cathedral. The room was small but I spent the majority of my time out exploring Strasbourg anyway. The area is very safe and it was absolutely magical walking around in the evening. The room was very clean and the reception staff were very helpful.

Good parking facilities for which you have to pay but it is the middle of petite France so no complaints at all. Toilets are separated from the bathrooms. Some might like that some might not.
