Courchevel impresses with its exceptional skiing, diverse gourmet dining to world-leading levels, and enjoyable nightlife/apres-ski, perfectly blending outdoor adventure with culinary and leisure pleasures. It is of course at the more expensive end (and the sky's the limit on what you can spend on hotels/food/shopping). Getting around in Courchevel is easy with free buses, affordable parking, and lift connections even at night (1550 to 1850 gondola).

Le Praz (Courchevel 1300) is a lovely Savoie village with great charm. Although it has grown substantially over the years, it still retains its essential character. The new Alpinium centre, by the pretty lake, is impressive with the fast lift to 1850 and information and ski pass office. There is a chair-lift to the Bouc-blanc area above La Tania, the restaurant at the top makes an excellent stop for breakfast. There is a free bus service during the ski season that links La Tania with Le Praz & the other Courchevel resorts, it also descends to St Bon & Bozel.
Eating in Le Praz presents many options, from the amazing, Michellin-starred Azimut, and the Bistro du Praz offering sophisticated food. A special mention to La Petite Bergerie, which provides traditional Savoyard fare as well as some truly delicious meat courses cooked in front of the open fire. There is also a burger bar, the Elephant bar which serves good pizzas, and the hotel Peupliers and a new related start-up - l'etable de lys.
Le Praz has a couple of sports shops (Olympic Sports having looked after my needs for decades), a well-stocked supermarket, tabac, laundry, Fromagerie, bakery and butchers.

We went for the skiing, have been many times before and would wholeheartedly recommend Courchevel and especially Le Praz. The village has everything you need - restaurants/bars, 8-a-huit supermarket, shops and the most amazing bakery (Pain D'Antan's chocolate eclairs are almost worth the trip alone!).
It's perfectly set up for skiing - close enough to walk to the bubble station from pretty much anywhere in the village (we got a locker so we didn't have to carry heavy kit).
And (not sure if this is a plus or minus) everyone speaks impeccable English. I was trying to practise my French but as soon as I opened my mouth people in the shops and cafes would reply in English!
Nestled in the Alps, the views are utterly spectacular - I spent a good proportion of the trip saying, "Would you look at that?!" because everywhere you turn you behold the most amazing natural beauty. Can't wait to go back again!

Did not visit the Village on this occasion as been many times before and we got all we needed at the hotel. As a ski area it is exceptional, with plenty of variety of type and length of slope and access to other valleys if required.
Location was familiar to us and excellent. Room was gorgeous and spacious by chalet standards. Staff, Marine, Yann and the team, were the stars, and went above and beyond to assist in every way. From averting disaster when our taxi transfer to airport did not show up, to arranging swift transport to the medical centre after an injury. This on top of securing great reservations for lunches and dinners. The hotel also has an arrangement with the Skiset rental facility, where that associated team were super helpful! Wonderful stay.
Amazing properly. Convenient to everything. Ski in ski out is very convenient especially with lockers that have boot & glove drivers. Staff is very accommodating at every angle. They suggest great restaurants & order taxi for you when needed. Breakfast choices are good too with variety of food to choose from for any taste. I would highly recommend this property.
Very curious professional staff. In a beautiful setting and relatively good value compared to some other establishments in Courchevel 1850.
Breakfast was lovely and on 2 occasions ate in the resturant food was lovely.
The on site ski shop was good and the gentleman very knowledgeable not only with equipment but the right run to go and when.
Hotel is in a great location to access the ski slopes or the free shuttle that runs between 1550, 1650 and 1850. The staff were very helpful and having the ski rental shop and locker storage on site was very convenient.
The hotel bars and restaurants aren't cheap, but nothing is in Courchevel.
Location was great, not so far from Courchevel 1850 and the staff is wonderful, very kind and helpful with all our demands. They helped us with restaurant reservations, public transport, taxi, late dinner when we arrived. They are awesome. Breakfast was very good (best scrambled eggs ever).
Amazing Stay ... the service was exceptional
they consider every little detail and make the visit well worth it ... One of the best hotels I have ever visted. All the staff were very very sweet and helpful and quick in responding!
Thankyou so much for an amazing stay !
Ski in-out was great. Location is great for skiing. I loved the sauna, steam bath and indoor pool. The lobby is nice, to spend some time in the evenings. Breakfast was fulfilling. Great in terms of value for money, considering the average hotel prices in Courchevel 1850
The rooms were comfortable, warm and most importantly very clean. The staff was cleaning the room and changing towels every day. The location of the hotel was also great. Next to an Intersport where you could rent equipment and just across from the ski lift.
Absolutely amazing! The hotel is perfect but what really shines is the quality of the service. the Sivolière team really impressed us through out our stay. This is the best hotel in Courchevel, an absolute must!!!
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. Right in the centre of Courchevel 1850 city. Very convenient to get to shops and bars. We will definitely come back to Belledonne again.
location, in the heart of Courchevel 1650
staff was nice and upgrade our room the second night after a first terrible night due to very high temperature and noise
