Cite de l'Ocean was an amazing VR experience, we had a joint ticket with the Aquarium which was also good. You could easily spend half a day at Cite de l'Ocean. Biarritz has some grand buildings and would have great views on a sunnier day. The view from the lighthouse is stunning, so worth the climb. We enjoyed the Musee Asiatique, everywhere we visited catered well for British visitors. Buses were easy to use, we found lots of great Basque restaurants.

Biarritz has long enjoyed a reputation for glamour and...
Biarritz has long enjoyed a reputation for glamour and monied high-class living. Many of the shops certainly cater for this sort of visitor, but there were plenty of what might be termed 'ordinary' tourists, who could enjoy the stunning vistas and beautiful locations along the coast. Don't miss the Port Des Pecheurs.
It is very easy to achieve a day trip to San Jean De Luz by using the (exceptionally cheap and easy to use) local bus service (Txik Txak) that operates in the region.
The town never felt overrun, nor underused. The beaches are very clean and well managed. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, with prices for every pocket.
Also, the footprint of Biarritz is pretty compact so that those without mobility issues are able to explore and spend time in the well-ordered shopping locations, the public gardens and the cafes and restaurants.
A special mention for the beautifully turned out (covered) market: well worth a visit and a stop for coffee, pastries or crepes.
Finally, the ocean creates great conditions for surfing, an activity clearly enjoyed by the locals as well as visitors.
– A wonderfully modern two-floor house in a very central location in Biarritz
– Great showers
– Modern kitchen with all the appliances you could want (if you can't find the cutlery, it's because you open one of the drawers and then have to pull open the slightly hidden drawer at the top)
– Washer/dryer comes in handy if you get things dirty on the beach
– Friendly and welcoming owners who run the hotel opposite the property and are therefore on hand should there be any problems
Accomodations in Biarritz are overall quite expensive. This hotel is a good compromise. Located in a very nice and central spot, just next to the town center, and a few minutes walk away from the beaches. We found it not so difficult to find a spot to park the car in the surroundings, and a covered parking is located just nearby. Our room was tiny but clean and confortable. Very friendly and helpful welcome/reception.
Very nice and cozy boutique hotel, much attention to detail (decor, daily water refills, stacked minibar, coffee et.), great location with all main places of Biarritz easily reachable by foot.
The staff was very accomodating and attentive (including a nice welcome champagne though I arrived after closure of the reception), and the breakfast was delicious, although the variety could be improved a bit.
When we arrived we were met by a wonderful welcome, The students and their professor reall made us feel at home. All of the staff in the restaurant, cafe and bar were excellent and very professional. The quality of all the meals and drinks were superb. The standards were akin to a 5 star hotel and restaurant. Thank you so much and we will definitely reccommend this hotel to all our friends.
Charming staff at the perfect location in Biarritz, with a great side view from the church and the sea. The hotel is really perfect for summer holidays, a bit less comfy for winter ones, but honestly the location is everything, and everyone in the staff was adorable and super helpful.
Great little hotel in the center of Biarritz, in a calm and beautiful area - parking provided, very appreciated. We stayed in newly restored rooms, beautifully decorated. The breakfast was very nice too. The staff was very welcoming ! Thank you for a
An amazing little boutique hotel. Spotlessly clean, with beautifully decorated, well equipped rooms. Fabulous managers and staff, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely breakfast serving local produce and homemade cakes. Can't recommend highly enough.
Perfect location for experience Biarritz. Near all relevant beaches, restaurants, café and a lovely food market just outside of the hotel. The view from the hotel is astonishing, looking out to the Atlantic ocean.
The location was good, close to restaurants and in the walking distance to the city center. The hotel is slightly outdated and needs refurbishments as it's definitely doesn't live with 5 star hotel expectations.
Boutique hotel in the centre of Biarritz, very friendly staff that speak both English and Spanish, amazing breakfast with almost everything homemade. Very clean and lovely facilities, great value for money
