The room was clean, cozy and, most importantly, warm on a cold, rainy day. The breakfast next day was also superb, having a variety of options available served with kind staff members. The service during the entire stay was excellent as well. Personally, I left my shirt in the room, but the host kindly offered to mail it back to my home in just a few days, which impressed me more. I would certainly stay here again next time I visit York.

Cosy hotel in a beautiful neighborhood. Room was clean, and comfortable, with good bathroom and lots of towels. Rich and tasty breakfast was perfect start of the day. City center is easily reachable on foot.The host was very helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble for him.

The property is very well located, with accommodating staff. It is clean, the beds are incredibly comfortable and a substantial breakfast is provided. Arthur goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. When I contacted him to ask about getting to the property he immediately offered to collect us from York train station. When we checked out, Arthur also offered to meet us later in the day to give us our bags at the station. We gladly accepted this offer and found Arthur waiting a few minutes before the agreed meeting time.

The breakfast was delicious, the location was perfect walking distance to most attractions in the city centre, and the parking was incredibly convenient and easy. Definitely recommend, especially if you have a car and enjoy getting around on foot!

Room was very nicely decorated and clean. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of it and good choice. Arthur was the perfect host and even ran us into the city on the Saturday morning. It is also in a perfect location if you want to walk along the river into the city which takes about 20 minutes or you can catch the number 2 Park and Ride bus service which stops nearby. We only stayed for one night but will certainly be back when we visit York again.

First of all, the warm welcome by Arturo/Arthur. As the owner, he received and showed us our room, gave recommendations to get to the city centre and was present in every detail. The location is perfect for a relaxed stroll by the riverside, the beds and pillows are truly comfortable and the breakfast is superb.
