Bakuriani in late December is a great place for skiing.
Bakuriani in late December is a great place for skiing. The snow-capped mountains and landscape is amazing. There was at least 60-70 cm of snow at the end of December. It becomes thicker later in January and February. I stayed in Bakuriani for 2 nights. On the first day, I went skiing and snowmobiling at the 25 Ski Park. On the second day, I went to Alpine Coaster in Didveli (Didveli Toboggan) and Borjomi. I suggest you stay in Bakuriani and use it as a base to do winter activities in various ski resorts and visit Borjomi. There is frequent connectivity between Bakuriani and Tbilisi by Marshrutkas.SurajIreland - 10Scored 10

Very nice and quiet village beside the mountains. Looks like a perfect space to rest between skiing or snowboarding experiences. In winter, there are plenty of family-friendly activities available, perfect if you have kids. You'll find various accommodation options and great restaurants to enjoy. Definitely worth a visit. One drawback is that some locations have incorrect Google Map coordinates, causing confusion.

The fresh air, the high mountains, the rivers, the forests in a combination of green and yellow colors and the endless nature and silence around. Very reminiscent of our trips in the Austrian, Bavarian and Swiss Alps. Looks like heaven on earth

the city is good for people looking for quite short stay Main activities are not much, we go for teleferic and the slide. also Joy land and other open areas to ride horse, buggies and small games for kids. we stayed two nights which was enough for relaxing and doing these few activities. People can stay more for more relaxing and can visit Borjomi as well from Bakuriani.

My 7 year old enjoyed sledding , skiing and ice skating at the Crystal Arena. Three wonderful days at the aparment passed so quickly. It has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The owner Mr.Abdullah is a wonderful person, always responsive to queries and places the comfort of his guests as his topmost priority. So you get a lot of privacy and nobody bothers you. Big plus. Also: -there is a mini kitchen with fridge there - good amount of daylight if you have some work online/ reading to do - the apartment is quiet and properly sound isolated (unlike many other houses and guesthouses in Georgia) - overall I would say that is comfortable/cozy (except beds, see below)

The other guests were mainly Arabic families with kids so the atmosphere was laid back. The cottage had everything we needed, and when something was missing like an extra pot, or dish soap in the dispenser the owners quickly helped us. They even provided extra bedding free of charge for us.
