Beautiful harbour areas between the two fortresses and along the coastal promenade area to the windmill. Lovely squares, parks and attractive Italian-style architecture in the quaint and bustling streets of the old town. A vibrant and interesting town with numerous restaurants, bars and traditional, touristy and modern shops. Great place to explore in is own right and as a centre to tour the island, with good bus services.

Absolutely beautiful I loved the Corfu old town market, mon repos beach, the palace, fort and water views.
Corfu town also has Starbucks and really good restaurants which is not too expensive compared to some of them. I recommend Pan e souvlaki restaurant which is a few minutes walk from the Corfu old town market. You can also find lots of nice dessert places in Corfu town too.

This is a picturesque Venetian town, reminiscent of Dalmatian or Italian coastal towns. There is a great, buzzing atmosphere, with lots of traditional shops, restaurants and cultural places to explore. With all the profits from tourism, I wish the Corfiot council would invest more money into the upkeep of the facades and infrastructure of the island. Also, there is a lot of litter around which could be easily managed if there were signs displayed and more bins provided. Do visit Rose's Vegan Patisserie with the best traditional (yet healthy) sweet treats ever!

Corfu Town is a joy to visit, with its worn, cobbled stone streets and Venetian architecture. I particularly enjoy meandering through there in the winter time, so much quieter and very atmospheric. Easter in Corfu is incredible! Lots of processions with brass bands, pot smashing, and lamb to be eaten. It’s unique.

The old town is walkable.
The old town is walkable. The town is very interesting, where history meets stunning views of the Mediterranean. Tons of restaurants and cafés. Don't miss Antranik for tasty food and beautiful views of the sea. Also try Averto Taverna (run by a family) in the old market. Unbelievably tasty meals from Corfu cuisine. For a drink in classy ambience, try Grey Goose. Visit Achillion palace (30 minutes by bus no. 10) walk along the "Cornich" (the water front boulevard) from the Windmill to the Corfu Port (60 minutes). Go to Kanoni's cafes (70 meters from the airport) to spot landing planes.
The apartment's location was absolutely perfect! It was right at the centre of Corfu Town with all the shops, cafés and restaurants available, but it was also not directly on the main street with great insulation with the balcony window so we would not be disturbed by the noise.
Despite never meeting the host, he was very responsive to my messages through Booking.com advising restaurants, cafés, bars and anything I needed.
It's also walking distance (15-20min) to the main Bus Station to travel around the Island.
Carpofoli is probably the best place you could expect to stay in Corfu Town. The accommodation is perfect and beautiful in every way. We spent our honeymoon here, and it could not have been better. The private courtyard and plunge pool was an excellent and unexpected addition, and our host Lucy was the best host we have ever experienced. She could not have been more helpful, informative, and a genuinely lovely person. We can't recommend this place highly enough. We would live here if we could afford it !
Corfu Palace Hotel is a fabulous hotel, with a lot of "Golden Age era" charm. Its location, with breathtaking views on the coast and old harbour, just a few steps away from the historic centre couldn't have been better. The staff were extremely courteous and professional - and the pool bar in particular served excellent drinks! The pool area is quite spacious, pleasant and well-kept (we even met their pet turtle), and the salt-water pool is quite large, so it never felt too crowded.
Location, Location, Location overlooking the Arcades - the best place to be in Corfu Town for restaurants, nightlife and sightseeing. And fabulous communication with very efficient and friendly hosts/managers. Cold water in the fridge and coffee pods for use. Very helpful tourist information in the property and we enjoyed the restaurant recommendations very much. Also, kind to let us leave our luggage whilst we went sight seeing after we checked out. Highly recommend.
I could not recommend this place and Panos highly enough. Everything about our stay was perfect. The apartment was equipped with everything we could possibly need and more. Panos is very kind and attentive and we had the best time in Corfu town. The apartment is in a great location and very easy to walk everywhere. If you’re looking for a great place to stay when you come to visit Corfu town, this is the place for you!
The hotel was perfectly situated for exploring the old town and the many interesting around Corfu Town. plus it was close to the port.
They didn’t push the restaurant on us, but the weather that night decided for us to eat there. Thank God we did, the food was amazing. One of the top 3 meals I’ve eaten in Greece, and I’ve lived there a while. The breakfast was just a good.
Oh; and try the cocktails! They’re awesome 👍
Sunset Hotel was the ideal choice for our last night in Corfu. With an early flight the next morning, it’s proximity to Corfu Town made for an enjoyable last day of exploring the city and a quick 15 minute ride to the airport in the morning to catch our flight. Our room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and a cute balcony with ample seating. The staff were friendly and helpful with arranging taxis.
Very clean room, comfortable bed, quiet, amazing swimming pool and tasty breakfast with different variety of choices including fresh orange juice and another healthy options, spa & sauna, friendly and helpful staff. Adults only is perfect option which guarantee well rest. I saw a lot of 5 stars hotels which does not look as good as Corfu Mare. Well done!
Perfect place to stay in Corfu town. Location is perfect, everything is just around the hotel. It's necessary to book room with balcony with view to the main square- it's breathtaking. Rooms are very nice with comfortable beds and quiet good sound isolation. Staff were polite and breakfast was delicious.
The location was really good, you can walk from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the city centre; there are also buses along the road. The room was big and enjoyed having a balcony with a sea view. Breakfast was quite good. Staff was very nice and helpful!
We chose this hotel as it was the cheapest in Corfu town. It was very clean and we got exactly what we needed for a 1-night stay. The lady in the reception was very kind and booked us a taxi for the following morning as our flight was very early.
HONESTLY THE BEST HOSTEL IN MY LIFE, safe, clean good kitchen and good bed! to be honest is the cheapest thing you will find in CORFU but for me still super expensive. in VIETNAM I pay Euro per night in a private room DELUXE here in Corfu is sad!
the location is amazing and Jordi the host is very helpful. We were able to check in early which made out one day in Corfu town easier. the balcony has the best view and the apartment is clean and spacious. Highly recommend!
Exceptional location right in the centre of old Corfu town. Amazing hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. Even our Labrador was greeted like a best friend. I cannot recommend highly enough
As one person said, the best worst rated hotel i have stayed at.
It is an old hotel, but it's clean, with all you need and the beds are just amazing.
Noises are not so bad in the night.
John is very available. The apartment is fresh and very large for two person. But if you are more people you stay very good in this house. The best apartment in Corfu town.
Nice little hotel in the center of old town. Grate location. St Spiridon Church just 5 minutes walk. Nice comfortable rooms. Will recomend to stay there.
Fantastic location, clean and open space, great value, convenient to all of Corfu Town. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a stay that isn’t a hotel.
