Kavala is a great Aegean port town, not too little, not too big. It offers an amazing value for travelers since it has great bars, cafes and restaurants at a very reasonable price. It has something for everyone, history, culture, shopping, cuisine. There are some luxury places and some cheap (yet very good) places. In the summer also offers easily accessible beaches.

A great city!
A great city! The old town is beautiful and the views of the city are amazing! The center is easily walkable and the shops combine both big chains as well as small local shops, so everyone can find what they are looking for. There are a myriad of options for coffee or food. We had the best fish in Kavala!
Lastly, the beaches were by far the best in Northern Greece, with fine sand and crystal clear waters! All in all, it is definitely worth a visit!

Though we didn't stay long we really enjoyed our time there. We enjoyed the stroll from the Port to Vrahakia and visited the Acropolis with a great view of the city - worth the hike to get up there!

Great historic sites, beaches and Greek restaurants with authentic food and local wine options. The city is busy and parking can be an issue but if you are happy to walk and sightsee and immerse yourself in the culture, it is a fantastic spot!

A beautiful city with picturesque town planning.
A beautiful city with picturesque town planning. An interesting piece of history. Variety of shops, delicious food, fresh seafood. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Every Saturday there is a large market in the city with agricultural products of producers from the region.
Parking problems. Not enough parking spaces. There are only three paid parking lots in the central part. One of them is by the port, which is quite far from the city center.
Great location in Kavala's old city - you can walk everywhere. We maybe got lucky, but we easily found a street parking spot. Self-check-in and check-out were a breeze. The building interior and the apartment have a striking design that stands out and feels special. The view over the port was nice - definitely recommended. Very comfortable bed as well. It's a beautiful place with a surprisingly special ambiance.
We really loved this place! The hosts were fantastic -They really made us feel welcome with treats and a friendly attitude. The place was so lovely, clean, and spacious. Really perfect for family and friends group as ours. It has all the necessary facilities to feel comfortable. The best thing is that it is really close to the center of Kavala but it is quiet and peaceful at the same time.
The apartment is very comfortable, cozy and the decoration is lovely. It’s sparkling clean and has the best owner we ever met. It is located about 5 klm from the city centre near the university of Kavala very close to the Lidl supermarket. It is close to many beaches on the West side of the city. You definitely need a car to explore the surrounding areas, the city centre and the beaches.
Location was great, just a block up from the waterfront. The host was very accommodating. When he learned that the shower was too small for my big size, he moved us to another room that worked fine. As a boutique hotel, they provided some nice snacks for free -- dried toast snacks, jams, coffee, tea and condiments, free waters. Pleasant stay in Kavala.
Great place with more than great host! I’ve never been in so clean apartment, following all COVID measures. The rooms are not big but very well arranged with all equipment that you need during your stay and above! The location is great, just it’s noisy during the night, but it’s Greece :) so it’s part of the scene.
The apartment is very comfortable, it is located in a good neighbor and the most popular street in the center of the city, the owner was really nice and helpful with the information about the city , I recommend for the people that have in mind the plan to visit this beautiful city in Greece
One of Kavala’s best hotels, excellent staff, very polite & helpful, spotless room, the swimming pool area is very large & the staff there were super nice.
Breakfast was really phenomenal, with a buffet that practically has everything, fresh & tasty, coffee keeps flowing.
This was by far the best house I have rented from booking.com and it might just be the best house in Kavala! Great decoration, spotless clean apartment, in the city center. It was a very comfortable stay, I would definitely want to stay again if I came to the city.
Very good location near the center and the old town. We stayed for one night on the way back from Thassos and we managed to see a lot from Kavala in 24 h because of the good location. There is a hidden beach near the apartment, I really liked the vew from above.
A great location for the perfect Greece vacation. Fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful all the time.
You can choose between driving to the beach or having a short walk. No matter what you decide, the very long local beach will meet all your expectations.
It really exceeded my expectations. Maria was so kind, friendly and helpful. The service was impeccable.
Perfect location, wonderful breakfast and great attention to detail.
We loved out stay in this boutique hotel right in the center of Kavala.
Spectacular view over the old city of Kavala and the sea. The apartment is very nice and clean everything seems to be new. It is 7-8 min away from the city center by foot, one of the best accommodations I have ever booked. Totally recommend it!
Hotel’s location is amazing , you can go by walking to city center. Room’s decoration is so minimal and refresh. Breakfast is so good. Especially owners are perfect they show honour to us kavala’s cookie they are so sweety
I liked the location - it is next to the sea and very close to the old town of Kavala. The apartment was clean and quiet and has all the necessary utilities. The host was responsive and very helpful.
