Casa Descanso, an island style apartment, nestled in gorgeous greenery, located directly on the beach, ocean front. Casa Descanso sleeps 4guests in 2 queen size beds, has 1 bathroom and apartment size kitchen. Kitchen has a 4 burner gas stove top, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and a toaster. Outside on the front deck with a ocean view is a dining area for 4. A charcoal grill and a gas grill are available for your use. Step out your front door directly onto the beach where colorful hammocks and lounge chairs are waiting your arrival. This beach house is situated on the property of Blue Island Divers, where diving and snorkeling are only footsteps away. The dive shop has a large common area with a bar where you can purchase drinks and ice-cream and play darts, checkers and other fun games. Bathrooms and outdoor showers can also be found on the shop property. Enjoy your evenings with a stroll along the beach and watch the amazing Roatan Sunsets from our private pier and palapa. Also on property is The Salty Mango Bar & Grill. For added safety a night watchmen is on property from 6:00pm until 6:30am.
We are happy to have you consider staying with us! We love Roatan and everything the island offers. We love sharing our facilities with our guests. I, Eric, am an Advanced Open Water Instructor and am here to answer emails and dive bookings. Carly is a Divemaster and works on our advertising and booking platforms while also leading our mission work. There is a lot to see and do in Roatan, the island has many activities. Scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, lionfish hunting, beach lounging, kayaking, hanging in the hammock or playing darts while sipping a refreshing drink, it is all possible at our location. On site, we have an incredible team assembled at Blue Island Divers to treat all your needs. Other activities include visiting local communities through mission work, touring the mangroves, hugging sloths on the sloth farm, seeing hundreds of iguanas at the iguana farm or dancing with the Garífunas in Punta Gorda. Let us show you the island we love and the best way to take advantage of it! We especially love special events, if it is a milestone of all life; we want to celebrate with you. Come and enjoy.
We are located 10 minutes from Coxen hole and 10 minutes to West End in the quiet neighborhood of Sandy Bay. We are steps from the principal road which traverses the entire island. You can walk the beach for approximately a 1/2 mile in each direction and enjoy the tranquil breeze and beautiful mangroves or sand beach. A fitness center is within 5 minutes. We also have a day spa we highly recommend and they offer complimentary pick up and drop off. Blue Island Divers is in the perfect location!
