La Ceiba is not really somewhere to stay for too long as it's really just a port town that you stay before going to the islands. It's got plenty of shops and restaurants to eat and see but generally, it's just another city that will fall into the back of your mind once you've left.

The food was great. Kayaking was fantastic.
The food was great. Kayaking was fantastic. Las Hamacus hotel and Apart Pico Bonito hotel were both great places to stay. I would not recommend staying at the Omega Eco Jungle Tours Resort. The hospitality was terrible and the pool did not work.

I loved every moment of my stay at La Ceiba.
I loved every moment of my stay at La Ceiba. La Ceiba has beautiful, exotic beaches, clear blue Carribean waters, great coral reefs, beautiful mountain landscapes, waterfalls, lovely fruit trees, beautiful, rich culture with friendly people.
Amazing place to stay right in the jungle. The property and pool were beautiful and surrounded by wildlife. Walter was a fantastic host with great communication and even let us borrow his binoculars so we could see the Toucans. The hotel has access to the river where you can go rafting, plus there is a lovely walking trail starting inside the hotel grounds. One of the best places we’ve stayed.
The room was like living in the jungle. The view was beautiful foliage with fireflies and birds so near at hand. The food was delicious. The menu consisted of Honduran favourites mingled with some popular German dishes due to the owner being German (I suspect) We were treated well by all of the staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lodge if you want a truely unique experience.
Beautiful hotel, with the perfect balance of comfort but still feeling in the wilderness. The hammocks and sofas are great after a day of hiking, and the food was excellent. The sound of the birds and wildlife was wonderful
The owners john and Soledad are friendly and super helpful without being overbearing. Really enjoyed my stay.
The location was very beautiful and serene, once you get to the location., the roads to the location needs work, its a rough road with a lot potholes but once you get to the hotel it’s all beautiful nature. No TV but you don’t really need it because you are surrounded by beautiful views and sounds
Very quiet place right at the beach.
Clean rooms with warm showers and a beautiful pool area.
Very friendly and cool host. I needed to see a doctor and he gave me recommendations, drove me to the next bus and helped wherever he can.
Breakfast is also great. Best banana pancakes I ever had.
the hotel was in a wonderful location, easy to get too and had paths to the river. our room was large and comfortable although we spent little time there. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the pool was beautiful and the beer was cold.
Excellent location, near airport and transportation includes. Friendly, helpful stuff, especially Barbara lady! Clean rooms! Great food and drinks! Lovely atmosphere! Cozy. You feel like home 😊
The hotel had a nice Chinese restaurant downstairs, for which, the food tasted authentic. The room was really spacious and plenty of light. They cleaned every day and the shower was very clean.
The shuttle service to the ferry station is ideal! We loved that we could leave our car at the hotel while we were at the islands for a few days and got a shuttle to the ferry for free.
The villas de mar is close to the main beach in la ceiba, the staff is really friendly andis a perfect place to stay in la ceiba to wait for the ferry for the islands the day after.
fine for one nights rest to prepare to the journey to Leon, Nicaragua. good value, but basic rooms. couple of decent restaurants nearby to grab a bite. English speaking staff.
