La Ceiba is not really somewhere to stay for too long as it's really just a port town that you stay before going to the islands. It's got plenty of shops and restaurants to eat and see but generally, it's just another city that will fall into the back of your mind once you've left.

The food was great. Kayaking was fantastic. Las Hamacus hotel and Apart Pico Bonito hotel were both great places to stay. I would not recommend staying at the Omega Eco Jungle Tours Resort. The hospitality was terrible and the pool did not work.

The man on reception called the pizza place for me and sorted it out. It ended up not coming so he offered to walk me to the local fast food place so I could eat. This was after his shift was over. He walked with me, waited and then walked me back. Above and beyond. I really appreciated this. Room was clean and tidy. Everything worked. Very close to city center and the ocean. I will also stay with family or friends but a Villas del Mar is a more comfortable private option. So... go grocery shopping and enjoy your stay.
