La Ceiba is not really somewhere to stay for too long as it's really just a port town that you stay before going to the islands. It's got plenty of shops and restaurants to eat and see but generally, it's just another city that will fall into the back of your mind once you've left.

The food was great. Kayaking was fantastic. Las Hamacus hotel and Apart Pico Bonito hotel were both great places to stay. I would not recommend staying at the Omega Eco Jungle Tours Resort. The hospitality was terrible and the pool did not work.

I recommend anyone who will have a way through La Ceiba!

Walter is the best host we have ever met. He goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. We can recommend the river hike/rafting and the hike to the waterfall. There is a small chocolate factory around the corner of the hotel which is worth a visit!
