Company information

We are avid trekkers and have visited and trekked some of the worlds great treks. We offer excellent advice on things to do and see while staying in Galway. We are also sailors and have had the pleasure of sailing in the Med, the Carribean, the Sea of Cortez and we even have a trans Atlantic notched up.

Property information

Ardawn House is a family run bed and breakfast. We opened in 1990 and have been serving guests since. Our breakfast is guaranteed to set you up for a great day in Galway and the surrounding areas of Connemara, The Burren, The Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. Our home is in a quite residential area of the city. You can stroll into the city center in a matter of 10 minutes.

Our home is in a quite residential area of the city. You can stroll into the city center in a matter of 10 minutes. It is a very safe area and one need have no concerns in walking in the area. There are numerous restaurants and music venues in the center. There are fabulous walks along our seaside promenade or along the river banks and canals. One can stroll through our city and be charmed by some of the old historic buildings. In the evenings our city streets are alive with street entertainers. A visit to our Museum. University, St Patricks Cathedral, St Nicholas Church and the fisheries Tower are well worth visiting. Catch a live performance in our Town Hall Theatre. Take a cruise up the river Corrib on the Corrib Princess. Take a tour around our city on the open top bus. Visit the Aquarium in Salthill. Take in a performance of Trad on the Prom. Follow the whiskey trail through some of our best pubs. Dine in any one of a number of fine restaurants. Visit the farmers market open every Saturday. Grab a rental bike from the Coca Cola bike stands and take off to explore. Go on one of the many walking tours of the city. Relax and enjoy the city of the tribes.
