Everything really lovely home and very comfortable especially the bed. Seeing deer in the front yard early in the morning Anne the host was very accommodating If you just wanted to relax and go walking it would be good.

Kenmare Eco Lodge is a small boutique vacation home located 6.2 km from Kenmare on Kenmare Bay. it is a 3 BEDROM HOUSE. it has SKY TV and WIFI, SECLUDED DETATCHED PROPERTY CLOSE TO TOWN. The accommodation offers large bedrooms, a separate guest lounge sitting room with tea making facilities and two outdoor patios. Each room has a wardrobe and desk and WiFi. Views from all rooms show hills, woods and distant mountains. Two rooms are en suite and the third has a large bathroom alongside it. Situated on grounds of 3 acres in a beautiful river valley, the lodge sits isolated and surrounded by hills, mountains and woods. It is down a laneway far from main roads. The absence of traffic noise makes the lodge a deeply peaceful retreat. Local activities include mountain climbing and hill walking, a myriad of land and sea activities and two golf courses. Killarney National Park is within 5km of the town. The town is flanked by The Beara and Iveragh penninsulas which offer over 200 km walking routes.

I like to welcome easy-going creative and adventurous people who will appreciate the wild natural landscape here who like conversation/appreciate nature and natural surroundings. I have a background in theatre & film + trained in Nutrition and have done my fair share of travelling so I relate well to what travellers appreciate...such as a host with tons of local insider knowledge and who is literate and articulate about their area.

Sleeps 6. Has Sky TV, Wifi, BBQ + Really suits those looking for deep peace in Wild unmanicured natural surroundings. We like to host guests mindful and respectful of its Green Leader eco-credentials. This hidden away Eco is conveniently close to town, 5klms or 10min drive, but offers a remote, seclusion and privacy on 3 wooded acres 200 meters down a rough lane away from sounds of modernity. On The Wild Atlantic Way. Kenmare Eco Lodge is a rather unique eco home built of industrial hemp. It has high spec UV windows + geothermal heat. Expect - calm/restful ambience natural furnishings and oak floors. Expect - country lane, river flowing sounds + hill views all rooms. Expect - exploration tips par excellence - keep in touch with owner (me) a keen hill walker/former b&B host/published an heritage booklet on Kenmare/student of philosophy & literature/traveller. Enjoy the brand new BBQ and outdoor spaces.

Neighbourhood information

The beauty of the heritage village which offers all that the discerning visitor could want - no chains here, everything is of quality. The best location from which to explore the surrounding mountains - be that Killarney National Park (5klms from town), strolling the local empty back lanes or Kerry Way & Beara Way with over 200+kilometers walking trails. The great thing about here - there are so few people!!! A whole peninsula with just 6k people! No industrial infrastructrure. Therefore pristine landscapes. The richest part of Ireland for archaeological sites dating back to megalithic times. Several walks to these.
