For the shopping connoisseur try the County town of Ennis or Galway City where you will be spoilt for choice. Alternatively there is excellent fishing nearby, superb golf, stunning hill walking for all abilities and a host of historic sites such a Kilmacduagh round tower or Dungaire Castle. Own transport required. However Gort town is only 6km away and is connected by direct bus and rail services to Galway city, Limerick and on to Dublin, Cork, Waterford etc.
