Lovely host and very responsive. She warned us about possible noise due to the prayers for the high holidays at night as we came right before Rosh Hashana, but in fact, the noise was not bad at all. Tel Aviv at any time of the year is much noisier. The room was spacious with two beds and even a pullout sofa, which we did not use as we were only two. Small bathroom and kitchenette with everything you need, everything clean. Lovely pets (cat and dog) and turtles in the garden were the highlights as well as the amazing location of the guesthouse. And as a bonus, no hassle with storing our luggage after checkout as we were leaving in the afternoon and checkout was at 11 am.
Set in a fully renovated stone villa, the Artists Colony Inn offers stylish suites with free Wi-Fi. Located in the ancient mountain city of Safed, it features a garden and panoramic terrace.

Safed has the magic of serenity and spirituality in every corner. It’s in the buildings, nature, narrow streets, local shops, food, and people. It felt like an extension of Jerusalem. Driving in Safed is tough as the streets are narrow and sometimes there are two way roads which are too narrow for two cars. Parking in the city is tough. There are plenty of kosher restaurants in the city.

The first place in Israel, which itself introduced me to itself, led me. If you understand what I mean. Wonderful atmosphere, and in the old town, and in the colony of artists, and in the mountains in the vicinity. I will definitely come back, and definitely recommend to visit, and definitely for a few days.

I love the galleries with so many friendly artists excited to talk about their work. The residents were warm, friendly and chatty.
The shuls, wineries and other sites were wonderful, interesting, varied and close to each other.

Safed is great, very easy to get around the Old City.
Safed is great, very easy to get around the Old City.
We went to Rashbi in Meron, the horse stables and Techelet of Safed.
I went to the Museum Meiri, tried hard to find the Museum of the Bible,
with no success. Ate both days at Mendi's, food was good and tasty.

On one hand, full of history, mysticism, spirituality, and surrounded by much natural beauty. On the othe hand, the city doesn't seem to be very tourist oriented. E.g. all businesses closed from Friday noon until Sunday morning.
With a bit of homework, Safed is totally worth a couple of days visit.
Breakfast was nice, the rooms were quite clean and some of them very nicely updated (we had 8 rooms for our group). The hotel is in a great location, walking distance from the old city. Staff were nice and attentive, and patient with us even though we were a bigger group. There are espresso machines in the rooms, and fridges and the rooms are very spacious.
Maim Haim was really the best place I could dream of in my stay in Tzefat!
Super centrally located, with parking available near it, and a mini-garden to sit outside if I wanted.
On top of that the owners did everything possible to make my stay unforgettable. From directions, to places to go to flexibility.
Thank you I will certainly come back!
The suite where I stayed was great ... clean, warm with very good facilities. Communication with Ecky was good and so no problems at all there. The only issue was that I got double charged on my credit card due to a mixup over Israeli tax and it took a few days for that issue to get cleared. Other than that, great place to stay
The place is very nice. Quiet, in the middle of the old city, close to the main attractions in Zefat. Very welcoming staff, great communication, helpful and made sure we got all we needed, kept in touch explaining how to reach the area and use the facilities.
Very nice outdoor eating area near room. Room itself was very nice, and although this room is connected to the owner's private home, inside it really felt like a nice hotel room.
Loved the location and quaint look of the hotel. It was perfect as it had a nice size double bed downstairs and two beds upstairs. It was clean and well presented
It is not a 5-star hotel, but you will be glad that it is not. It is a garden where you can enjoy a unique view, a spirit of Israeli hospitality, and an aura.
I love the European style interior design, the cozy atmosphere of the hotel and the stunning view. The outdoor area, the garden and swimming pool are great
