Janet and Amos are wellcoming, friendly hosts. If I hopefully visit Haifa again, The Artist's House will be my first choice! Close to several bus-stations. Nice terrace overlooking the bay of Haifa.

We hope to add to your "Eco friendly" travel! We have added a few facilities to this aim - a bag to deposit materials for recycling, LED lights, the water heater is on a timer, water efficient toilets, filtered drinking water (no plastic bottles), the option to reuse towels. Come and sit on the sun deck next to a lemon, olive, fig and pomegranate tree and enjoy the warmth and sun of Israel! The building, a semi-attached unit, was completely renovated and has a hall, small kitchen, bathroom and living/sleeping room. The living room is cosy and has the feeling of a real home with a library and art works giving it a welcoming atmosphere. A short lane leads to the Artist's House that is situated in a quiet area, amongst trees on the Carmel Mount. Although there is a country atmosphere about the place, you will be living in the middle of the city, close to good transport systems and easy access to great beaches, two major university campuses and shopping centres. The price includes do-it-yourself introductory breakfast, basic food ingredients (oil, salt, etc), filtered water and homemade goodies.
I am an artist and educator, PhD, researching into intercultural visual communication. In 2015 I received a large donation to open the Haifa Center of Ceramics and Art, just down the road from the Artists's House. At home, I live next door, I have a ceramic studio were I create clay sculptures (my art works are in the appartment). My husband and I enjoy hosting the people who stay with us, and we are always there to help our guests get the best from their stay in Israel.
The neighbourhood, Neve Yosef (Joseph's Oasis) is located on the slopes of the Carmel, overlooking the bay of Haifa, 10 mins. from central Haifa, 15 mins. from the Technion, 20 mins. from Haifa University.
