A very classy nice restaurant. A warm welcoming, followed by an excellent service, with a lot of attention to details on order to please you. I took at first a tartare, the beef was excellent. With that I took a glass of the local red wine. Somewhat surprising, it does not taste like anything I have already drunk, but I kinda liked it. Then I took a marbled steak with homemade French fries and homemade ketchup (!). No word to say that it was awesome. My recent visit to Cochin, Kerala was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beauty and charm of this historic city. Exploring the streets of Fort Kochi was like stepping back in time, with its colonial architecture, bustling markets, and vibrant culture. The Chinese fishing nets along the waterfront were a sight to behold, especially during sunset when the sky was painted in hues of orange and pink. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace. The intricate artwork and historical artifacts inside were truly impressive, offering a glimpse into Kerala's rich heritage. I also had the pleasure of indulging in some of the most delicious seafood dishes I've ever tasted. Whether it was fresh fish curry at a local eatery or a traditional Kerala thali at a family-run restaurant, each meal was a culinary delight. The warmth and hospitality of the people of Cochin further enhanced my experience. From the friendly smiles of shopkeepers to the helpful advice of locals, I felt welcomed and at home throughout my stay. Overall, my time in Cochin, Kerala was an unforgettable experience. Then imagine the most kind and helpful staff and add some of the cutest pets you have ever met as dog Happy and cat Valentine and the animals who visit the garden as Kingfisher, Brahmin Kites, Mungos and of course crows and doves, then you have The Old Harbour Hotel!
