Nice Place but weather can affect enjoyment.
Victory Hotel walkway to The Mall is an uneven path behind the building past what appears to be a derelict building up numerous uneven steps. Unsafe after dark

We were quite shocked at how busy Shimla has become and how polluted the atmosphere is now compared to 27 years ago. The Himalayas were barely visible and had very little snow which for December we thought was unusual
It’s still a beautiful part of India but perhaps December isn’t the best time to visit as they have a winter festival which attracts people from all over India hoping for snow …..there was none.
We found lots of excellent places to eat where you could enjoy some fabulous sunsets
We climbed to monkey temple taking one of the old routes which was very picturesque and we avoided the crowds
The Viceroys Palace was a bit of a disappointment as there was a 4 hour wait for a guided tour Thankfully we’d asked our driver to wait for us so we enjoyed a walk round the gardens but didn’t wait to go inside
You can see plenty of monkeys but need to be very vigilant as they were steal from you many people were getting to close and having their phones snatched. There is a large population of stray dogs which was new to us. They are in good condition and fed by the local residents who encourage the dogs as they keep the monkeys away

Very beautiful HIll Station. People are very good.
Very beautiful HIll Station. People are very good. Food is awesome. Cold is just perfect for people from West and South India. A bit crowded during weekends, parking is an issue. Use lifts where ever available as we are not used to climbing uphills and walkign so much when coming from other regions. Wear good shoes as there is lot of walking. Jhaku Temple rope way is approx 500 per person for two ways ride. Mall road is expensive but stuff is good. Kufri and Mashobra are amazing too.

I like the name and the fact it was oberoi and I am there corporate customer..
But fact is its 3 star property and go if they charge you 5k a night all inclusive and if you are use to jumping in tub of 32 inches high and don't use soap or you will skip,... and the GM is not hands on ...
The front office Manger will offer you 10% disc if your package is without breakfast.. she will like to add to your bill... and be sure entire hotel is empty and they will choose the worst room for you

Shimla was too crowed, if you are really looking for a peaceful place then Shimla is not your destination. It was so crowded and moreover the biggest issue in Shimla is the transport, at the rush hours, cab drivers will charge almost double money and they are so arrogate that sometime you don't wana talk to them, honestly i will not go Shimla again as it's not worth, traffic is similar to what you have in Delhi or any other metro city.
Excellent location right on the mall road, great staff members with always smiling attitude.
Parking is available and it is not an issue at all of climbing a few stairs as a few reviews suggested, if you have a senior citizen with you then you can get down near the common Lift and walk towards Clarks via mall road. staff very helpful with the luggage. The room size was huge with all amenities you could find in a great hotel.
Totally loved the place. NOT far from Mall Road Lift . Can easily get public transportation to move to and fro from hotel to mall road. Will advise you to walk to hotel instead of using any vehicle , will totally love the view around. And opt for room with the view , You will enjoy every second of shimla even from the room. HOTEL staff was very corporative and helped me.
One of the best hotels to stay when you visit Shimla. The service is excellent - every request is catered to in a matter of minutes and caters to a high satisfaction level. The breakfast and dinner selection of food items in the buffet are delicious as well. It is extremely close to mall road as well and their rooms on the fourth floor have a beautiful view of the valle
Excellent location surrounded by Shimla mountains. Rooms are very spacious with superb view from large window. Rooms are neat and clean with all needful facilities. Toiletries provided. 24hrs hot water. Food quality is excellent with enough space for roof top dining. Location is near from Mall road. Staff are very supportive. Kids have good play area with lots of toys.
I really liked the professional and personable staff, especially Preetika who went above and beyond to help me out with travel-related queries and issues. The Hosteller is also in a great location, with a good view of Shimla's situation and within casual strolling distance of Mall Road and Scandal Point. The hostel is uncommonly clean and well-maintained.
Quiet and peaceful location. Not far from Shimla mall road but still away from traffic and hustle bustle. Everything food, location, rooms were great. Moreover rates were very much low as compared to other hotels nearby. Special thanks to Shantam for making our stay memorable he is local from Shimla and will guide you throughout your stay.
The front desk staff was very helpful.. Nice and soft spoken with their clients.. staff was amazing.. Very clean hygienic and spacious room.. Most of the city tour points are close by. We have stayed at this hotel on December 9 to 11 and the food was very good. If you are in shimla must visit this place... I hope this review will help you.
Amazing staff!! Amazing service!! No in house bar or food options but they have partnered restaurants and they can deliver food at the hotel in few minutes.... All the popular places are walkin distance.. like the ridge, mall road, ropeway etc.. Do carry umbrella if you travelling in the month of Jul-Aug... 10/10❤️
It is a shortish uphill walk from the station. I recommend you pay 100r to porter to carry your bag to hotel I wish I had. It was convenient for getting up to Mall Road. We paid for the room with a view which was well worth the extra as the view is spectacular.
Visited twice during 28th Nov 23 to 15th Dec 23 for work. Definitely recommend the hotel. Rated highly like a 5 on food, cleanliness, accessibility to Mall Road, service, in house chocolates from their patesseri and Mountain View from their rooms with balcony.
In centre of shimla. Great support from the staff. Mr. Jagmohan have been very helpful. He dropped us to near mall road. Food facilities were available and nice. Good view of hills from the room. Clean room and bathroom.
Rooms were apt clean. The morning breakfast was delicious. And the staff was polite.the view was spectacular as the location was good (15km from mall road, will recommend to book hotel above shimla).
Nice cosy hotel. The location is very good just on the mall road. The rooms were nice and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet spread is good. Overall a nice stay!
A quaint B&B setup on Shogi bypass and not too far from Shimla Mall Road. Our overnight stay was comfortable and food served for dinner and breakfast was delicious.
Exceptional stay. Liked the service, rooms, the food and the view from rooms. Total value for money.
Very close to Mall road. Would surely visit again.
