Gangtok is and was always my favorite destination.
Gangtok is and was always my favorite destination. Apart from rainy season one can visit there anytime. Not only it's own natural beauty and cleanliness, being the state capital Gangtok is having transportation access to every corner of the state. So, being stationed there one can visit a vast range of area of North Sikkim, East Sikkim and South Sikkim at the same time go directly to pelling, versay, Ravangla etc of west Sikkim or Darjeeling, kalingpong etc of west bengal. This is the 7th time ihave visited Gangtok, be it in summer time of April/may or spring time of October- November or cold winter months of December end- March middle. Every time it's mesmerizing beauty amazes me. For the adventure lovers also Gangtok and adjoining places is just a gold mine... be it trekking, mountain biking, zip lines, paragliding, rafting in teesta or rangit or rock climbing. I would suggest everyone to visit this place atleast twice. One in summer and another time in cold winter.SANGRAM - 6.0Scored 6.0

There are only a handful of options for sightseeing in Gangtok, so it's best to book a short 2 days trip if you're planning on staying only in Gangtok. The town mall is the best part in Gangtok. Beautiful vibrant atmosphere, and amazing nightlife! beautiful, clean city. the steep slopes and narrow roads makes it exciting. very helpful, ever smiling and happy people. people also seem very animal friendly, street dogs and cats seem very happy and well taken care of. gangtok is a great place to start your sikkim exploration. nathu la pass shouldnt be missed. gangtok is a great place to start your trip into north Sikkim. be sure to work with a good travel agent because most remote places in Sikkim need permits, even for Indian residents.

Wonderful city with breathtaking views! M G Marg is a delight for people who love to get some shopping done at affordable prices. M G Marg is also a foodie's paradise! Lots of different restaurants offering different cuisines. The ropeway was a very good experience, we got to see the city from a bird's point of view! Namgyal Institute of Tibetology is worth a visit to understand about Tibetan and Buddhist culture. The journey to and from Tsomgo lake, Nathu La pass, and Baba Harbhajan temple is filled with great scenery including waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, winding roads with hairpin bends, and a great view of Kangchenjunga! Overall, a wonderful trip worth every penny!

You can't resist falling in love with their beautifully designed cute home, we still remember the times we spent chilling in their peaceful balcony. Breakfast spread was good enough and they did pack my breakfast both the days when I had to leave early. Staff's were highly efficient and hospitable. Special kudos to Mr. Soumen, Mr. Paul, Ms. Rasna and Mr. Arobinda. Indeed this hotel is a hidden gem nestled by the beautiful valley.
